Reclaimer
I noticed the average work week at Cedar Point is listed as being around 40-50 hrs. per week based on a 6 day week. What are the hours like at PKI?
Oldiesmann
I think they're about the same.
PKI_Diana
In Rides, the maximum hours allowed to be worked in a 7 day week is 69.99 hours. It varies in other departments though.
Reclaimer
Rides is what I'm looking for. Thanks, Diana. Another question: Is it very tough to work at the park while attending college at the same time? I'm looking at possibly attending a college in Ohio and would like to work at either CP or PKI while attending school.
pkikid
Id love to work there again. anyone know if they are still hiring? PLEASE SAY "YES"!!!! US ARMY! BE ALL YOU CAN BE!
PKI_Diana
This is my fourth year with the park. The first two years, I quit working when school began, because I was worried about my academic load. However, ;ast seaspm amd this season, I have worked beginning to end with the park. It's not that bad to manage, because I've limited myself to a shift a day, max of 2 shifts per a weekend. Now for this season, I am feeling more stressed because I'm working, teaching at Amelia High 3 days a week, and going my last quarter in UC's undergrad program. So after June 12th, I will feel much less stressed. As for the following hiring question, I really don't think rides is still hiring. I know that food, merch, and security (according to the sign outside wardrobe) still appear to be hiring.

The most important part is to try to schedule your work week around your school schedule so you still have time to do homework.
pkikid
If they are still hiring, where would the best place I could go to apply, online or there at the park? I live in Indiana, thats why I ask. US ARMY!! BE ALL YOU CAN BE!!

US ARMY!! BE ALL YOU CAN BE!! I would say in your case apply online, They are still hirering in different place's. Im not sure what there are. The max hours in Ecology are about the same as they are in ride's,what PKI Diana say'd.
Reclaimer
Okay, at least it sounds workable. I guess the park is pretty flexible about the hours?
Gordon Bombay
Yeah definently apply online and if you go into HR for an interview...be prepared to wait.....no offense to the HR department...but they were slow when I got my job. But if you do get a job at KI, you will have a blast, I just started and it was great.
Oldiesmann
Definitely apply online. That way they'll have everything together when you get there and you'll have less paperwork to fill out.
