DeliriumDreamer
After a little bit of researching, my bf and I have found the coaster featured in the movie Final Destination 3. Located in an amusement park called "Playland" in Vancouver, the coaster is none other than Corkscrew. Here's some info on the coaster. Captain Nemo
Very nice find, Now they can have a poster saying, FD3 was shot here! Right here in this seat is the seat that got one of the characters killed!
pkikid
yea with a sign like that in the park and on the coaster--that would bring in tourists!!
UncleHenry
Old news. This has been on IMDB for quite awhile now.
harvesterofyoursorrow
Actually, I saw a making of the movie segment on a coaster podcast. They used that coaster but the lift hill, station, and sequences where they fall out are all in a studio. A POV-er makes the thing derail! pkikid
Yea they can make alot of things seem real now---But I wont see FD3--the second one really was the worst movie ever (right under Mommy Dearest)
Firefall Pkd
Well I can officially say that was the most fake crash on a roller coaster ever. Even the 1970s movie Rollercoaster was more real that that and they used stuffed dummies for people...... But all that aside, the rest of the movie was good enough and since the opening scene was so fake I'm no step closer to being scared of riding coasters Don't you just love movies with overly graphic deaths? BoddaH1994
I've never seen the first one, but I'm going to disagree about the 2nd... I thought it was really good. I'll definitely see 3.
TheKlockster
Old news. This has been on IMDB for quite awhile now. Yeah extremely old news. When Jeff first found out about the movie - which was at least six months ago - we both researched it and found out that it is the Vekoma at Playland. But good job I guess... WooferBearATL
Well, I had missed the news so thank you.
Captain Nemo
I'm going to go see it, although I'm not big on gory movies. As for the really fake looking crash, I find it funny we talk about how fake it looked, and somewhere on another forum some surgeons/doctors are saying how fake and impossable the deaths look. lol
M & M Productions
Well I did go and see this movie lastnight, it was ok, not something I would go see again. I would say out of the 3 Final Destination movies, the 1st one was the best IMO.
derbeast
I don't usually search IMDB for movies featuring rollercoasters and I was wondering what coaster that was. Saw it last night and it was really good, right up there with the first two. Would I go see it again... no because who can afford to go see a movie in the theater over and over again? I highly recomend seeing it. The death scenes were way more clever in this one.
Jasper
Nice find. When i first saw it i thought it looked like Viper at SFMM. Guess i was wrong.
Alien Seed
A POV-er makes the thing derail! Does he really? In the premonition, the guy's camera started the chain reaction that caused the crash, but what about in 'real life' after the premonition was over? That guy, along with the camera, got off the ride with the others. What caused it to crash then?

jzarley
the second one really was the worst movie ever (right under Mommy Dearest) "Don't F**k with me fellas...this ain't my first time at the rodeo." (A classic line from "Mommy Dearest" for those of you unfamiliar...)
Gordon Bombay
Go here and watch the clip at the bottom called "Rollercoaster: The Begining" do you see now people? This is why ride ops fight against the people who like to POV at paramount parks and holiday world? Someone should post that clip on an ACE message board. pkikid
This movie sucked BIG TIME! just like Jaws 2, you root for the shark--this time I was rooting for death to take the screaming brats! Why cant they just leave it at 1 movie????
Scooby_Doo
Yeah I was told FD3 was weak and not worth the money and to avoid it at all costs but always liked JAWS 2 maybe your thinking of Jaws:Revenge now that movie sucks something awful. Also if you havent seen Pink Panther Yet I would recommed it its funny and has something rare....its a remake thats good. To answer your question''why cant they leave it at one movie'' Hollywood is all about MONEY if the first film does well you will most likely see another one. Alien Seed
Pink Panther is not a ramake, it's supposed to be a prequel to the original. I think it was originally going to be called Birth of the Pink Panther.
Captain Nemo
The movie was great IMO, but back the main discussion on this topic. The coaster is indeed used in this movie, From what I heard, the actors had to go on it around 20 times while a camera recored them.
TOPGUN1993
I had to go on RECAR about 12 time for the photo shot.

The Interpreter
If you are complaining about riding Raven, a trip to the woodshed is in order! That coaster is simply stupendously wonderful!
