TheKlockster
That Delirium thing looks like it would be EXTREMELY expensive - and not all that fun/thrilling. The only place at Kings Island in which it would blend in is the water park.
The Interpreter
Hmmmm.....It's not like IJST blended in....but then different people are running the park now. Still, I imagine the 07 attraction is pretty much cast in stone, and was before July 1, 2006 AP. (after Paramount)
TheKlockster
Or rather cast in Fiberglass and Steel.
The Interpreter
Now, now....let he without information cast the first stone!
Lion Sleeps Tonight
No One knows, those who say they know are liers, becuase the one that do know ,do not talk So that is why you claim to know what we are getting? A tilt coaster??? A dive machine??? A topple tower called Jump 2??? I was trying to make you mad at me
Kenban
Well since no one has said it yet how about a Huss Delirium. To my knowledge not a single park has ever put one in but the video looks good on the Huss website. Don't know if it would be fun to ride but I think it would be interesting to watch. Dude, Kings Island already has a Delerium you idiot What the park has is a Huss Giant Frisbee it just happens to be called Delirium.
flightoffear1996
I bet its going to be a water park expansion.
The Interpreter
I bet its going to be a water park expansion. If it is, I bet they don't call it "Son of The Beach."
TheKlockster
Hilarious! I wonder if theyll change the FOF Preshow. Richard Christopher: "Pleeeeeeeease... Dick (Kinzel)"
kikevin
Hilarious! I wonder if theyll change the FOF Preshow. Richard Christopher: "Pleeeeeeeease... Dick (Kinzel)" Me and my friends always laugh at that part.
The Interpreter
And now will Fort Cooper become Fort Kinzel? If not, I guess we could refer to FoF as the "Story of Dick and Jane."
ragerunner
Just a thought, there might be good chance that KI will get the stunt show from Canada's Wonderland and then add a master blaster to the waterpark. I would think the stunt show would be going to one of the former paramount parks for 2007 and KI seems to be a good candidate (maybe near Flight of Fear which is nice and flat). RailRider
I dont look for much next year. With the change from Paramount to Cedar Fair, I dont expect a huge new attraction. Look for lots of upkeep, painting, repairs and cleaning to be done in the offseasson. I know Cedar Fair said they would honor all of Paramounts capital expenditures for the off seasson, but they also axed WinterFest. Dont think we can count on anything for sure. BoddaH1994
You guys are absolutely right. Next year will be a promising year, just not in a way in which you are used to.
HelixSpiral
One of these would be cool I think.
AgentSoB
I am excited to see what Cedar Fair has in store for the coming years. My only wish is for them to give Top Gun a long overdue paint job.
Vortex
Well I just saw on the channel 12 news that SOB will reopen in 2007 season.
CoastersRZ
And that relates to the new attraction in 2007 how?
Braves0511
Well it does have to do with 2007. And i for one am excited
screamingnight
I think it would be cool to get a ride that goes 200 mph and reaching 15 g`s! That would be intense and would kill most people who ride it. But that would be bad. Wouldnt it?
KIBeast
Well it does have to do with 2007. And i for one am excited It has to do with 2007, but the topic is the new ride for 2007. You can't argue that Son of Beast is a new attraction for 2007. Don't get me wrong. If it's true, I am excited as well.
cstrwomann
Has there been any construction at the park this season? Cedar Fair has already announced 2 additions for next year. 1 at CP-Maverick and 1 at Valley Fair- Renegade. DP got a new wave pool 06', WWK got a wave pool 06', MA-Water Rapids ride 06'. VF-swing 06', CP-swing o6' , WOF-Patriot Roller coaster in 06'. We will have to be patient and wait for the announcement if they are going to add anything we'll know soon. I would like to see more inner tube slides added to the water park or a master blaster watercoaster added. I also would like a sit down restraunt opened preferably on I-Street overlooking the falls that offers a buffet/menu option. I also would like a campground brought back to Kings Island. I mostly want Son of Beast to reopen for 2007. This is my wish for 2007.
screamingnight
I would like to see a another woodie but not a record breaker like SOB just a fun, fast, airtime filled, fun woodie.
Captain Picard
With steel cost as high as it is I think you will see more wood.
tigellinus
If any of you have ever been on Voyage at Holiday World in Indiana you'd know a modern woodie like that rivals any sort of steel coaster out there...
The Interpreter
Actually, if you want a modern woodie that rivals any steel coaster out there, I think that honor goes more appropriately to El Toro. Regardless of whether you think El Toro or Voyage is the better coaster of the two, El Toro unquestionably rides much more like a steel coaster than any other wooden coaster in America. So much so, that some have argued it should not be considered a wood coaster. . . Regardless, you won't see a new Voyage OR El Toro type wooden coaster at Kings Island for 2007. Guest TombraiderTy
I thought Kings Island would be getting a master blaster, somebody once mentioned some land clearing behind BB, but that would rival with the Great Wolf Lodge's water park somewhat. I think we'll get an attraction, just nothing major.
TheKlockster
If any of you have ever been on Voyage at Holiday World in Indiana you'd know a modern woodie like that rivals any sort of steel coaster out there... Oh yeah - I think Voyage is more intense than Flight of Fear even!
cstrwomann
I haven't rode El Toro yet but The Son of Beast , The Voyage and The Beast, and Hades are the best wooden coasters in the USA in my opinion. I wouldn't say that wood are better then steel because I like what steel can do. I like wood and steel coasters equally.
S500
I think a spinning coaster would be a great addition to the park. They could get rid of the International Showplace and put it there.
