Gulliversrubadub
I just read on Norton Auctioneer's website that there is going to be a sale at Wyandot Lake on November 29th. I thought Columbus Zoo bought Wyandot lake from Six Flags and was planning to keep it open. Here is the ad for the sale from http://www.nortonauctioneers.com/upcoming.htm Wednesday, November 29, 2006 Wyandot Lake Amusement Park A Six Flags Park Columbus, Ohio Rides; Waterpark Attractions; Go Karts; Park Equip. Brochure Available Soon Maybe they are not planning to keep it open anymore. Anyone have any info?
PKIDelirium
Six Flags is selling the stuff they own, including the go karts, newer waterpark stuff and some other small things. The Columbus Zoo owns the land and permanent structures including all buildings and the Sea Dragon coaster, plus the older waterslides.
jzarley
...the assumption is this is to sell equipment not included in the sale to the zoo. There's a fairly indepth existing thread on this topic... http://www.pkicentral.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=8230 The stuff about the auction begins toward the bottom of the first page. Gulliversrubadub
Didn't see that topic posted. Just seemed strange that they were having an auction I guess.
