Really, I looked around the station but didn't see you, if my timing is correct I came around to ride at 5:00-5:30.

Yeah, the lines today were somewhat long. But I did get on a lot of rides and also got the last ride on The Beast in the front row, It was amazing going through the Double Helix in pitch dark. Today for me, the floater on Diamondback was crazy good, and for some time The Blue Racer was down (which resulted in the line actually coming to the entrance), but later on they continued operations on blue. I also got my first ride on AE and Invertigo this year, so now I have finally ridden every ride in the park this year. I also got forced on Vortex by a friend and it wasn't bad! (It was about a station wait) My head got banged around but it wasn't so bad, the experience was actually "fun". So in conclusion even though the lines were long it was a great way to end my season at KI this year.

Thanks for the information. Looks like it will be a nice day.

I'm going to the park Sunday and this is my first time going on a Sunday, So I was wondering how long are the lines on a typical Sunday?

I can only answer a few of these questions... 1. Kings Island, I haven't made it to CP yet but hope to next year. 2. For a Wooden Coaster Lighting Rod is the best coaster I have been overall, The ejector on that thing is unreal. For Steel I guess I would have to say Diamondback, again I haven't been to many parks yet. 3. N/A 4.N/A 5. For Wooden Thunderhead at Dollywood that thing REALLY shooked me up, Again I'm pretty spoiled, most of the Wooden Coasters at KI or somewhat smooth/ For Steel its Vortex, that ride almost broke my head open the first time I got on it. 6. Really have no answer for this one 7. Invertigo is bearly manageable, but Vortex is always good at knocking my head around especially 7-1, Going into the Batwing on 7-1 is the worst thing I have ever experienced on a coaster. 5-1 is meh (not bad but not good) but I haven't technically got a full ride on it yet. Long story short, I got on the ride and it broke down on the MCBR and we had to get off the ride.

I have met only one person from this website and that was VortexBFF, and that was a planned meeting. Other than that the only way I would recognize a KIC member is if their profile picture is a picture of themselves. So yes, shirts would be a nice thing to have.

I agree with you on that one. I don't think this (Flat ride/coaster) needs to be at KI, Like you stated maybe a smaller park like MA or Dorney Park would be a better place for this ride to go. They also need this ride more, According to Wikipedia the last time any of these parks got a new coaster was 2008 for MA and 2012 for Dorney (which was actually a relocation of an Invertigo model at CGA). Anyways, I think this ride would be a great addition for both of these parks.

I forgot about that coaster! With all the hype associated with SV I really did forget about the other coasters CF announced for their other parks

I really want to say its a Giga, but it just feels so soon. We just got Mystic Timbers this year and it would be great to get that CP treatment of getting a coaster once every 3 years, But in my heart, It just feels like other parks like CanW and CGA deserve a coaster before us (they both might likely get a coaster in 2019) then I feel in 2020 the Company will give attention to CW and a smaller park. IMO the most realistic year for this coaster to come is 2021 or 22 at least at this point the company has given love to the other parks and can spend and give their attention to KI so they can give us a great ride. But at the same time, I won't complain if CF gives us a Giga in 2019 but I will be very surprised.

Best thing I have experienced on a roller coaster is the Quad down on Lighting Rod, The way the coaster ejects you out your seat is crazy! At this moment its the best Coaster I've been on.
-
Every time I rode FoF last year the MCBR was turned off. So I really haven't experienced it with the MCBR turned on, I guess that really isn't a bad thing when you think about it.

You can read this forum I made on this site, I just asked how is it like working at KI and I got lots of helpful and informative responses.

A ground up Hybrid. The only thing I would specifically like on it is an intense ending like LR quad down, and also lots of banked/ twisted airtime hills. I would also like to see wave turns like the ones on Twisted Colossus. It doesn't have to be a dueling coaster, but elements like these just give you crazy good ejector airtime.

On the name it could well be Centurion, Sorta of Like how Mantis was supposed to be named Banshee, but then things happened and later down the road they used the name for the current coaster we have at KI. I'm not saying it definitely will be called Centurion but I really won't be surprised if they named the Giga that. Also, I wonder if they would add the number ending to it like for ex.( Fury 325 , Intimidator 305, etc). IMO, the name Centurion 375 doesn't sound bad at all.(I'm not predicting that KI Giga will be 375 feet tall but I wouldn't be complaining if it was.)

Weird how we just got a new coaster this year and were already starting to get hyped up a tad for potentially a Giga coaster later down the road. It's always fun speculating about coasters, and predicting what parks will get new coasters in the future.

LOL, This brings back memories of my first post on this website, about AE getting RMC. Whenever I go back to read that post I cringe so much because my grammar on it was so awful and the total idea of AE becoming an RMC was so stupid in the first place. But in all seriousness, I don't think AE is going anywhere. I can't say much about the ride experience because I haven't got on it this year, and I really can't recall the ride experience from the last time I rode it (back in 2013 before I was even into coasters). But from what I see it looks like a pretty solid family coaster.

The trains are just OK, but I think The Beast would benefit greatly if KI could replace these trains with the new Millennium Flyers. On The Beast smoothness, I can't complain. It might be a tad rough at times but for a ride that's almost 40 years old, it runs pretty smooth. I personally think it's smoother than Thunderhead at Dollywood.

Steel Vengeance to open in 2018 at Cedar Point
Xdog42 replied to IndyGuy4KI's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
This thing is CRAZY, The ending of this coaster is WILD, it reminds me of Lighting Rod's Quad Down, but on this thing you go over 6 hills. This is likely going to be the best Coaster at CP. -
This coaster is gonna provide some gooooodddd airtime. CF going all out with this and the New coaster at CP Steel Vengeance aka RMC Mean Streak
-
Am I the only who thinks this ride will get replaced by a B&M floorless? I would prefer a Mack over a B&M, But from what I see, CF likes building Coaster with companies they have done projects with, It took them a while to start associating with RMC and I would also think they would go to Intamin before they reached out to Mack. Heck, it sounds stupid but I think they would talk to RMC about building a ground up coaster where Vortex is before they go to Mack. But still, I don't think its time to start speculating fully on Vortex removal, I'm positive Vortex will be here for the next 5-8.

I would personally like to thank Cedar Fair for giving us an excellent wooden coaster. When I think about it, they really didn't need to give us a coaster at the current moment considering we got Banshee in 2014, and there were other parks that deserved one before us ( KD, CaW etc.) But still, they decided to give it to us and now we have another great ride at a great park! It really does show how much the company values us as a park. I think it worked out alright in the end for everyone, considering CP and KD are getting RMC in 2018 and I think I heard rumors of a hyper going to CGA in 2019 and I suppose CF will give CW a new coaster before 2020.

Will Diamondback always be the tallest at KI?
Xdog42 replied to skylar.heizer's topic in Coming Attractions
Agreed, Parks will eventually build something bigger, I asked myself this question, "will TTD remain the tallest ride at CP," And I reasoned no, because Eventually, CP is going to build a 500ft+ coaster and who knows somewhere down the future a 600ft+, because they have always been known to want to go bigger and faster, You can see the same thing in companies they always want to improve the products and we should expect the same from KI, to eventually get a bigger coaster. At the current state, coasters will keep on getting bigger since there isn't really a "height cap/" limit for them, and parks love setting records for coasters. People always want bigger and better, So again to state my point Diamondback WILL not remain the tallest coaster in the park. For example, it's like saying Windows 10 is going to be the final OS that Windows will make, Eventually one way or the other there is going to be an upgrade or a new better system. So eventually there will be a coaster at KI that is taller than Diamondback. -
The park should give Firehawk a repaint soon, at some parts some of its old green and black color scheme is starting to become visible. Also, I think eventually down the road they should repaint D-Back (maybe on its 10 year anniversary).
