  1. Thanks for all the kind words! I'm glad you enjoyed the film. As for the results of the competition, we were awarded as the Best Film runner-up. For the required elements: The character was P. Reginald, and he/she had to be an author The prop was a shower cap The line of dialogue was "Life is full of little tradeoffs" If you know of anyone who might like the film (or any of the others), please feel free to pass the link along...we're trying to get these films out to as many people as possible. Thanks again! Ryan
  2. Hey everyone…sorry for the delay in posting, but I just wanted to let you know that the short film that was shot in Kings Island in the middle of January is now available to view on-line. If you’re not familiar with the topic, let me take a minute to fill you in. Over the weekend of January 13th, 5 teams from across the country were selected (out of over 850 entries) by Avid and Panasonic to create a film from concept to completion in 48 hours. At 7pm each team was given a common 1) character, 2) prop, 3) line of dialogue, and each was handed a randomly-selected genre. From that point they had 48 hours to turn in their finished film. Our weekend resulted in a short film entitled "Justice In Bloom," a comedy which proves love is blind…unless you have superpowers. The reason I’m posting here is that we were fortunate enough to have access to Kings Island in which to shoot our film and I thought you may be interested in seeing what we were able to come up with. Every location featured in the film is within Kings Island. The film is available at Cider Mill Productions. If you go to the films page and roll over the images, it is the second from the top. The site hosts the film, as well as the film’s press kit. If you like what you see, there are a few other films on the site too. If you’re a fan of Myspace, I have set up a page for this film as well as the others that we have worked on in the past year and a half. "Justice" should the third film on the site. Thanks for your interest, and I hope you enjoy the film. Ryan
  3. All I can say about the new one right now is that it is a 6 minute Superhero/Comedy. Thanks for checkin out "Infamous!"
  4. My name is Ryan Lewis and I am a filmmaker with Cider Mill Productions in Cincinnati. I am the producer and one of the directors of a short film that was shot inside Paramount's Kings Island over the weekend of January 13th and I thought your message board might be interested in hearing about the film. We will be premiering the film in a few weeks, and I’ll pass all of that information along as soon as everything is set, but until then I wanted to invite you to take a look at one of our previous films, "Infamous: The Pelagrino Brothers." Originally created for competition in the critically lauded 48 Hour Film Project, "Infamous" was the recipient of seven awards from the Cincinnati 48HFP competition, including Best Film, Director and Screenplay. It has also been selected as one of the National Top Five 48 Hour Film Project Finalists (out of over 850 entries). Because of that distinction, each of the five teams was invited to produce a new 48 Hour Film in January, resulting in our film being shot entirely at PKI. Currently "Infamous: The Pelagrino Brothers" can be seen on the Independent Film Channel’s Media Lab website. It is the same sort of short film view and vote type of website that iFilm is, with two major exceptions. 1) To vote you have to register with the site and there is only one vote per email address, 2) (and by far the most important) the site is set up to occasionally select the best viewed/voted films and feature them on a show broadcast on the Independent Film Channel. So, if you have a second, please head over to: http://medialab.ifc.com/film_detail.jsp?film_id=327&list=1 and check out the film. If you like it please take a second to cast your vote. Please feel free to pass the word along to anyone you know, every vote counts…it’d be absolutely amazing to see "Infamous" on IFC. Thanks for your support. I hope you enjoy the film. Ryan Lewis
