  1. Only issue I've had is that the bar with various links seem to have disappeared from Firefox. It's there in Safari and on my iPad howerver.
  2. I actually have one! From Diamondback line. Hard: Photo from Flight of Fear tour. Easy: Both trains on Firehawk. Also, awesome game Paul!
  3. You dare hotel and bar owners to follow the law? Just because he or she has been in combat does not make him/her supreme over the law. Agreed. I'd refuse sale to someone underage, no matter what their circumstances are. Large fine plus potential jail time? No thank-you.
  4. I would love to see someone's picture of the track after it's been clean.
  5. Hopefully yours will arrive today J.D. Did they cancel your wood order too?
  6. http://telly.com/64M9H And that's pretty much it for Son of Beast.
  7. Ended up changing the one picture. Can easily put the original back if I want, but for now, I think I'll keep the one with the loop. Sorry I can't give credit for the original image, I'm not sure where I initially found it, it just happened to be in my image folder.
  8. To each their own, because to me, the extra $20 a night was so worth it to be a minute drive from the park. Being used to eastern time, it was like finishing at 12a the first night, and 1a the second. I was not awake enough to drive for 40 minutes following. Plus, it's roughly 40 miles each way, 80 miles a day. Nearly 3 gallons of gas, it adds up.
  9. Mine (042 of 250) was on the stoop yesterday after they called as well. I'm in Beavercreek, so not far (Dayton area). I'm about an hour and a half from the park, and mine arrived the day after they called (UPS). They have to over-night them. The pictures are held on by screws. Pretty sure I'm going to replace the one on the right with a picture of the loop. We'll see.
  10. Last year I didn't book my hotel room from Santa's Lodge unti mid March. On the Facebook group, they put together a group rate, so it was only 79.99 a night. I would love to go, but doubt I'll be able to afford it this year. Hopefully in 2014.
  11. Wow, I'm really surprised. Wonder if it has to do with it being pre-treated.
  12. See here. Has anyone received a bolt or wood yet? Just curious as to what they look like.
  13. Mine arrived today too. They must overnight them. I like it, just need to find a good spot to hang it.
  14. So.... It's overnighted then. That seems overly complicated, but I guess they know what they're doing.
  15. Thanks for posting. I wonder if they sent it over night, or if its just because of your distance to the park. Did it come UPS?
  16. I'm sure Silver Dollar City's number includes general site improvements as well. There is a $20 million gap between the two coasters, which is more then enough to accommodate the extra buildings and removal of rides to make room for Gate Keeper. On another note, Leviathan cost $28 million, so it's still safe to say that wooden coasters are significantly cheaper then their steel counterparts. (I know, a lot of steel goes into making it a 300+ft coaster, but the cost is still there.)
  17. Outlaw Run is $10 million. Gatekeeper is $30 million. Gatekeeper does include a new entrance, but you still get the idea.
  18. Just received a phone call from Kings Island saying my plaque will ship tonight!
  19. I wouldn't count ringĀ°racer as under active construction. The structure has been up for years.
  20. A reincarnated Vortex would be the last thing I'd want in that space. Either keep it, or get something more "modern". I think a wooden coaster would look fantastic in that location, but I could easily see Intamin (like Maverick) as it's replacement. (Intamin and B&M both still use loops.)
  21. Coaster looks awesome, but the ride seems so short, I don't see myself making any travel plans for it. But if I'm ever in the area, I'll be sure to stop.
