I actually just discovered the Cyclone yesterday. Was it as rough as the guys over at TPR made it out to be? And, was that final turn into the station as sharp and unexpected as their POV shows? It, no doubt, is quite an interesting coaster.

I think things are too spaced out, but I'm not going to judge it anymore until I see a bigger version. That one is a bit small.

Did Action Theater used to show the same movie on both sides?

Had a few issues the last 24 hours.... probably only received a quarter of the images I should have. Rest of them are "invalid", or half the image didn't load...... I'm trying to fix it right now actually. Edit: All fixed.... seemed the website I was running the cron job off of didn't give it enough time to complete.

I was bribed a few times when I was younger. Eventually though, on one of those rides on The Beast, I fell in love with roller coasters. But I do agree. Kids should never be forced to ride a roller coaster if they are afraid to.

I'm pretty sure it's not the same light. Those time lapse pictures usually don't include very many night shots (just compare the length of the day shots to the night shots.... the night is much shorter.) Going through each picture in a time lapse picture, that light didn't move. It simply turned on and off.

I have no idea the link, but there were pictures posted from climbing onto of two roller coasters.

I really have no idea. If it were a trespasser, I would of expected more police cars to be there. However, if it is just a patrol car, I'm not sure why he got out of the car. A certain website last year showed us it isn't hard to illegally enter a Cedar Fair park preseason. And even then, they did it at dusk. Not 3 in the morning. In the end, I just thought it was an interesting picture, and I wanted to share. I am about to go see if anything interesting happened last night though. Edit: Nope, nothing happened. Although, Kings Island did add a light over in that area. Can't see as much in the background as before.

I've never seen them before. I've only been taking pictures for the last 5 days or so, and they are at 15 minute intervals, so it doesn't necessarily mean that they aren't between shots. I just would think that they might of popped up before. By the way, the lights were also on around 5am that same morning as the first image. Again, only for one shot.

Any idea what color Mason police cars are? Edit: According to this article, the guy in the picture is not a part of Mason Police, simply because of the white pants, verses the black pants in the picture provided in the link.

I'm not so sure that is the officer. Doesn't quite look like a police uniform. He more seems to be frozen at the sight of the car, just how they are standing.

So, after seeing a few of those "WindSeeker timelapse", I decided I wanted to make my own. Long story short, I made a script that simply saves the image to the server in fifteen minute intervals, and every night, I go and download them. Well, while doing this, I have run across two things, and at the urging of a friend, I decided to post them here. Here is the first one, which is not all that interesting. From 1:15am on 3/19/2011. Notice the light on The Racer's one hill. It was only on for that time shot. Sort of strange that they were working back there at 1:15am. Now, for my other shot. This one is strange. There was no sign of activity before, or after this shot. But, last night (this morning), at 3:30a at night, here is what I captured. Just thought I share. (This gives a whole new meaning to Terpy's post about the things that have been caught at Cedar Points webcams before.)

Where at was the webcam? Very curious to see for myself.

You do bring up a point I was wondering. If that money goes directly into maintaining this, it makes the $5.00 reasonable. But if these start to break, and it isn't fixed, it won't sit well with the people who pay the fee. I'm really surprised they simply didn't raise ticket prices by a dollar or two to pay for it. I'm just pulling numbers out of no where, but if 1 in 5 people paid the up charge, this attraction would generate the same amount of money as the $5.00 fee. Maybe a $2.00 increase would be more reasonable (1 out of every 2.5 people.) I'm not sure how you would deal with season pass holders. In a year or two though, I could see this become a Gold Pass benefit.

An upcharge? Seriously? We all know how good Cedar Fair is with keeping up theming, I don't see people willing to pay for this once they start to break... I'll go once, but at a $5.00 fee, it'll only be once.

I think it has to be something for 2011 simply because of business. Why in the world would you already be promoting your 2012 season BEFORE 2011 has even started? Especially when you have a new ride! @upstop- That made me laugh!

I'm not saying it is or isn't Son of Beast related (actually, I'm just enjoying reading everyone's opinion. I have no idea what this is all about, but I don't think it's anything big. [Especially if it's for 2011]. I figure, if I don't speculate, there's nothing to be disappointed about.) Correct me if I'm wrong, but trains are usually one of the last things to arrive. Even then, I wouldn't expect them to come in a shipping container like that. If it is Son of Beast related, it could be steel, but then again, I'm not sure that would come in a container either. I really think KI is trying to get us excited for the coming season, which is under 50 days away. I don't think it'll be anything important at all, it's just a fun way to make the off season interesting. I started reading these message boards a lot when there were rumors of XFlight being relocated to KI, mainly because I was looking for new clues to see if it would indeed land at our park. It's just a fun way to help us pass these few weeks.

So... relates to that image from Coney Mall and the footprint in the snow KI teased with? Let the speculation begin.
