  1. And that "issue" was a comfort problem, not a safety one. B&M's safety record speaks for itself.
  2. Being a NASCAR, OSU, and hockey fan, I need Fox Sports 1, 2, Ohio, as well as Big Ten Network.
  3. Cancelling our Comcast service was without question the worst experience I have ever had with any company. Just signing up for Time Warner was an experience itself. 3 hours on the phone, a phone rep adding things to my account and billing me for hardware I didn't request, 2 separate installation trips, and since neither had what I needed, an hour wait at their office on a Saturday. If it wasn't for sports, I wouldn't have bothered signing up.
  4. Great Ohio CC posted the following: That's a decent size clearing over by the former Good Times Theatre.
  5. The article was posted in September, and it stated that it was still on the property at that time. I don't know if anything has changed, but ScreamScape did have a link where you could purchase the rides that were leaving. We all know the park isn't in a position to purchase the rides. We went in August of 2013, and there were only a handful of bumper cars working then too.
  6. And I thought it was still faster and more enjoyable then Kennywood's.
  7. I'm not sure or they were removed at the end of the season or during the off season, but this article talks about their removal (it's linked somewhere earlier in this thread.) You forgot the Turtles as one of the best rides. It's such a classic ride, and one of the main reasons I want to go back.
  8. ^ At least they didn't change the website URL promoting the fact that it was "new". (I know it changed from the Six Flag days, but it wasn't thenewkentuckykingdom.com) Interpreter, I know 4 rides got removed (Music Express, Kiddie Carousel, Witch's Stew, and Toboggan), but am I missing anything else? Only 2 of those rides even operated (well, according to the article. I could have sworn Music Express was running when I visited in 2013).
  9. I was looking at an archived version of CLP's website (here), and there are a few differences: 1.) Season passes were $75.00 if purchased in Spring 2.) All day wristbands were $15/$20 (depending if it included Blue Streak and the Train) 3.) They used to be opened on Friday (I think? I'm having a hard time making any sense out of the hours.) Either way, the new website is a huge change from where they were. Let's hope it wasn't all for nothing.
  10. A couple of notes on the website. -The mobile and desktop version of the website are the same, there are simply media queries to rearrange things for a smaller screen -It was designed by an outside company that looks like they have created a number of websites for Cedar Fair -They used Bootstrap I still hate the URL change. Everyone who linked to the old Conneaut Lake Park will have to change their website, and (assuming the park makes it), how long can you keep the "New" on a website?
  11. The website is now live. It looks quite nice, at least the mobile view. A few notes (I don't know if information is new, but...) -Season passes are $50 -All day wrist bands are $10 (I thought this was more two years ago) -Park is opened Friday-Sunday (I believe this is shorter then years passed) -Opening day is scheduled for May 22nd (we'll see.)
  12. Did you pay by credit? I've seen more and more places around where I live start to ask for zip code when you pay with credit, regardless of the amount. I agree with Aaron, I don't know how you can accurately tell where the visitors come from.
  13. Geauga Lake had "worked" for years until Six Flags bought it. I've heard many people say that what Six Flags did to the park led it to its ultimate demise.
  14. I got all the way to enter credit card info on my iPhone. As for KIC's homepage, you're exactly right. The ad is too wide which causes all of the content to be way too small. It's a very annoying bug I that I wish would be fixed.
  15. I noticed that too, but it was also interesting to see Timberliners in NL1.
  16. Water park may be headed back to Conneaut Lake Park I think the title is a bit misleading, but the park is planning for 2015. It also sounds like the current board has never thought about reopening the water park until now. Also of note, the board claims Camperland is profitable.
  17. The new park map is already up here. One thing to note, the 2013 map said T3 was coming in 2015 and Twisted Twins in 2016. While Twisted Twins is on the 2015 map, there is no mention of it opening in 2016 (and besides the lack of a name and number on the park map, there also isn't any mention that it is closed for 2015. That can be confusing...)
  18. The irony of the Rocky Mountain crew posting the ALS ice bucket challenge video today... in front of Colossus. Video
  19. Great trip report! I went to Camden earlier in the year and had a lot of fun there. How do you make a Tilt-A-Whirl spin more? I love that ride until I inevitably get stuck. (Although Camden's seemed to spin a lot when I was there.)
  20. I never realized that was the tag line for Mantis. I like that they used it in it's "farewell" video.
  21. And I understand why they did it to a ride like that. It was rough, low ridership, and not a fan favorite (Mean Streak anyone?) It just seems like Six Flags now has a plan to either transform or tear down all of their wooden coasters.
  22. I believe that's called a "support". Guess I didn't catch that it was separate from the track itself.
