  1. Cool TR, good pics! Gotta say I love seeing a TR in the offseason. And I love the reverse-freefall/drop ride combo! Kings Island take notes plz
  2. I liked Hypersonic... in fact I liked it much more than Volcano. That thing was so repetitive. Still... my favorite ride in that park was the King Cobra clone
  3. King's Island: Spongebob is still here! We Promise!
  4. Kings Island: We got a Flight Deck too!
  5. To me, Flight Deck is bad... but Backlot Stunt Coaster??? Are you kidding me? I've seen more creativity in the Bengals' defense. If it were up to me, that coaster wouldn't be there anyway and the Eagles would still be flyin'.
  6. Yeah I usually have my coaster dreams about Cedar Point. But the one memorable one from KI was when I was riding Top Gun with my brother, and when we went around the first U-Turn after the first drop, I got flung off the train but I grabbed on and held for dear life for the rest of the ride. That was terrifying haha.
  7. I'm simply stunned. http://www.KICentral.com/forums/index.php?...17&hl=names http://www.KICentral.com/forums/index.php?...;hl=flight+deck Not to mention several other threads where the new names are discusses in their entirety.
  8. I like the change. CF really needed another "hawk" coaster... So now can I call it X-Night Fire Flight Hawk Deck?
  9. King Cobra!!! I miss it so much.
  10. Then the kids will be upset the first time they go to the park and see characters that aren't Nickelodeon characters, but then when they see that the new characters are still fun and huggable, everything will still be fine.
  11. But that's kids in our demographic. Not today's kids. Personally, if I saw Rocko from Rocko's Modern Life walking around right now, I'd wonder how they got that costume, because he's virtually extinct. That's probably where a lot of today's shows will be in 5 years. CP has a lasting name in Snoopy, and even though you don't see him all over the TV, that makes Cedar Point stand out. A child might like the cute dog they see all over the park, and the only place to see it is at Cedar Point. I think it's a smart decision, personally.
  12. Yep. But that tunnel always scared me. I'm a really tall person (6'6"), and even when I was about 13 years old I'm pretty sure that I could have easily hit my hands on the top of the tunnel if I held them straight up. And with the blistering speed of Beastie, I wouldn't want that to happen.
  13. That's Demon Drop... but with a slight extension So no, it's not a real pic. But I'm glad my Paint job looks that real
  14. ^^^lol raptor. CF does seem to have some love for hawks. Hawk Crypt? Crypt Hawk? X-Fire Tomb Hawk Flight?
  15. Yeah nothing says a ball of fun like the Great Depression!
  16. wow. I haven't seen this in nearly enough threads.... Try searching other threads before starting a new one. This has been discussed over and over.
  17. Ultimate write-in vote: Dick Dastardly from the Hanna-Barberra party. Remember Wacky Races?!?!
  18. Well therein lies your problem. Not only is it a movie, it's a pretty sweet movie. Travolta vs. Cage in eachother's respective bodies. Boom. Although those are two of the most cliche actors in the business if you ask me.
  19. I'm gonna have to question the logic there. Seems like you're contradicting yourself? I'm not saying everything Hauntguy said is right, because there were some pretty bad things said. But I will say that I'll trust the knowledge of someone who assembled one of the haunts over someone who walked through one of the one time. Not to mention the horrible lighting in the haunts.
  20. I thought Drop Zone was hilarious and amazing. How can you go wrong with Gary Busey and Wesley Snipes going at it while skydiving from jet liners and parachuting during 4th of July Fireworks?!?! Drop Zone FTW!
  21. Eww i really hope they don't stoop that low. Marketing an already-existing ride because of its new theming is poor practice if you ask me. But then again I bet Joe Bluecollar would see that KI is getting another new ride this year and would make sure that he went at least once to try it out. Still... I really don't like that idea.
  22. That coaster looks pretty fun, but it seems like there's not much to it... loop, cobra roll, barrel roll, loop, helix. there's no camelbacks, and no speed sections. I guess I'm probably being overly critical, but it seems like there should be more to me.
  23. I would like to see what they consider "injuries." If they're talking about headaches, or bruises resulting from a rough ride like SOB or Georgia Scorcher, then sure. There's a lot of injuries. But if they're talking about serious injuries that result in medical attention, then I'm obviously not hearing about more than 2% of the injuries that take place. I feel incredibly safe on roller coasters and thrill rides, and I think that as long as people obey park rules, they will almost always be safe on the rides.
