  1. ... and the thread has reached a new low.
  2. I'm a big fan of the plain white flood lights also. Though I do like how CP has color-changing lights for Power Tower. That is a really neat scheme.. but again, I think PT looks best when it's just plain white light shining on it. What a beautiful structure

    Nasty Restrooms

Well this is easily the most disgusting topic I've ever seen on an amusement park forum.
  4. The Eagles, King Cobra, and KCKC are all tied. Those 3 were fantastic rides. I'll never forget them I was also a big skylab fan. Now... let me turn the table. Stuff that I despise that's still there.... DAYS OF THUNDER! TRTR! Eurobungy!
  5. There are many many parks that have both observation towers and Ferris Wheels. Ferris Wheels are great for the scenery, but it's also a pleasant ride, and they really add to the atmosphere in an amusement park. Try picturing your favorite boardwalk (i.e. Coney Island in NY, or Santa Cruz) without a ferris wheel. Even Navy Pier in Chicago has one and it really brightens up the atmosphere there.
  6. I would love to see a Ferris Wheel come to KI Where do you think a good location would be? I think it would go nicely in Oktoberfest between Adventure Express and Racer.
  7. I swear... sometimes the people in line for TR:TR would still somehow find a way to get in front of me for Firehawk
  8. My brother is 6'10" but he's really skinny... you'd be surprised how much stuff he can ride. He can't ride Drop Zone or Delirium, but everything else at KI is no problem for him. On FoF he has a little trouble getting the lab bar over his knees, but he can fit with a little effort. And at CP on Mantis he really has to strain to stand up "straight" because the thing doesn't go high enough. But again, he gets on at least 90% of the rides without much struggle.
  9. I haven't ridden it since they removed the loop, but after the torture that happened when it had the loop, I'm almost positive that it can't be any worse now.. So I'm taking the new SOB.
  10. Yeah the height problem is definitely an issue. I'm 6'6", and for the most part I can ride almost anything. However, I've had some problems. I can't ride Delirium (though I can ride maXair @ cp.......???). I also can't ride Deja Vu at SFGAm in Chicago, but apparently that's no problem any more because it sounds like they're removing it. There are also some smaller family rides that I really don't like riding because of the lack of legroom (Cedar Creek Mine Ride!!!). But for the most part, everything else is fine for me
  11. I didn't get a chance to ride Racer or Adventure Express this season I miss them.
  12. My favorite song is the one that starts with: "Mule Traaaaaaaaaaaaain!" hahaha it's so funny
  13. There's a thread on PointBuzz that has almost all of the songs.
  14. lol you're pretty generous... I give it till May 2008 before it breaks down again.
  15. Oakbrook Terrace, IL. It's about 12 miles straight west of downtown Chicago. I'm originally from Oakley, which is about 16 miles south of KI. But I went to college in Illinois and got a job up here, so here I am. About 5.5 hrs away...
  16. Sadly only once.. I used to go about 20 times per year... but then this whole "I got a job in Chicago" thing came about this year. Hopefully I'll get a few visits in next year.
  17. I'd give them a B as well. I didn't buy a season pass last year, but I know my uncle went through a huge mess trying to figure out how the parking pass would work for him at both KI and CP because he goes to both places a lot. Hopefully this year they'll improve their system so that it is easy for buyers to use. I thought Halloween Haunt was incredible as well.
  18. Thanks! Happy Halloween everyone! Too bad I'm stuck in the office till 7:30 or 8........... :'(
  19. I'm gonna go to Toro and protest lawn mowers. Grass is a living organism, and every summer people across the nation go all "willy-nilly" cutting their grass up to a few times a week! I am wholly outraged that such maliciousness towards such a lovely plant is allowed. Prepare for war, Toro! ;)
  20. Yeah, it probably was. I'll have to ask him about it after work... he said he was sure it was inverted track... but there's no difference between B&M inverted track and upright track.
  21. Have fun guys and gals, I wish I was there
  22. I just got a call from my friend, and he said that he saw some inverted coaster track going northbound on I-275 from the Eastgate/Batavia area. One must assume it's from the steel plant in Batavia. So.... where is it going? Maybe KI is getting a new coaster next year!
