    Beast

The trims on The Beast are the most disappointing things in the park. I understand that safety is the #1 priority, but they've ruined it. From my point of view, they need either: a) the trims just before the second drop, or the trims on the first drop. NOT BOTH! It's ridiculous to hit trims, go through a turn, hit more trims, go down a drop and back up, and then MORE TRIMS! That section used to be my favorite section of any coaster when the first two sets did not exist. It was fast paced, and you got some KILLER air time on the second drop. Now it's just embarrassing. Get rid of them.
  2. I showed up at 9:30 on Tuesday, and I ran as fast as I could back to Firehawk and got 6th person in line. So needless to say, if you can run fast and long enough, you can get on very fast.
  3. You guys are all jealous because you don't hear the voices too.
  4. Son of Beast.. That thing can't even make it through its course!
  5. I just rode it the other day twice. I'm 6'6" tall and very skinny, and it was fine. As for the loose sandals, I didn't have any problem with mine. I have basic Adidas slip-ons, and I had no problem holding them on the foot platform. There are a lot of G's in the helix at the end of the ride, and it really pulls you outward, but I never felt unsafe. Great ride.

    KI Trip 5/29

Today was gorgeous. I started the morning waiting at the ropes at 9:30 am. As soon as they were lifted, I ran as fast as my body would let me back to Firehawk, and managed to be the 6th person in line. However, it wasn't running yet, but after about 40 minutes of testing it opened up. I could have gotten on the first train, but I opted to wait the extra few minutes for the front seat. One word describes Firehawk: WOW! I loved it. Simply a great ride for the entire duration. However it broke down later in the afternoon and they didn't open it again for the rest of the day. But I did manage to get one more ride in the morning. After Firehawk, I went around the rest of the park. There were NO lines anywhere. Literally every ride was virtually a walk-on, either waiting 1 or 2 trains for all roller coasters. In the evening I found myself in Action Zone after having ridden everything else multiple times, and I went on Face-Off about 12 times in a row. Chelsea the ride operator was very friendly and the staff was getting the train out in very good time. Great day at the park!
  7. It's very obvious that Kings Island is planning their expansion of Nickelodeon Central all the way over to the Action Zone area with the introduction of the latest technologies in kiddie coasters!
