Yeah it said the agreement is still pending. I am wondering if anyone is going to throw a red flag about them owning all three major parks in Ohio.

Son of Beast was like a 50% improvement over last year. Not totally better though. I will say it is WAY more smooth than Beast, and depending on the particular circumstance, possibly smoother than Racer. The last two Beast rides I had were so bad I almost had to go to first aid, but decided not to after the pain died down about 10 minutes later... If I do ever ride that POS again - it will not be until 2007. I'll stick with the good rides, like Vortex, Flight of Fear, Son of Beast, Drop Zone and Delirium.

The park needs a lot of cleaning up right now. The park is really dirty and run down - compared to how immaculately clean Cedar Point and Holiday World are. I would even venture to say that Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom might be in better shape this year than PKI. I am not looking for Cedar Fair to start adding awesome rides right now - just to make Kings Island a really great park again. And hopefully they will add some more high thrill rides within the next ten years. I don't see why they wouldn't. I mean Worlds of Fun just got Patriot last year...

America's Rockin Roller Coast now owns that one park near Cincinnati!

YES!!!! I can't say how excited I am about this! OMFG Expect things to start improving ALOT. But don't expect any new rides just yet... It will take a few years for them to bring the park back up to a decent state from where it is now.

They would probably keep Fearfest but not Winterfest. And they would probably add a few awesome new rides to at least bring the park back to decent, then probably do like the rest of their parks and get one ever few years. And they could put in high thrill family rides - like Paramount will not ever put in. Something like Storm Runner or Kanonen could be like a family friendly version of what Dragster is. And they could put in something like Superman Ride of Steel which goes along with their Millennium Force type coaster, on a smaller scale... The beautiful thing about Cedar Fair is that they are B&M and Intamin happy.

Are you saying that Shake Rattle & Roll isn't enough to get you to come back! Come on! I am a Troika enthusiast too. If they removed every ride except Shake, Rattle & Roll - I would still get a season pass to just ride it!

That would be so amazing if Cedar Fair bought it... After finally going to Cedar Point - I have to say that their rides totally own ours...

I think we will see a really nice improvement over the park in the next two to three years. It is running a good trend. The Nick Universe is totally mind blowing - and hopefully they will be taking steps to revamp the entire park, getting rid of dated rides, and adding in new innovative stuff for both the family AND the thrill seekers.

Son of Beast is one of the few good rides the park has... Deal with it.

Yeah - they have done alot to the ride... You wouldn't even believe it. They busted their asses getting it ready. I can't wait to ride it.

Because Jerry Couch said that Screaming Eagle, the Log Flume, and the Merry Go Round are not for sale. That means he is either going to demolish them, or keep them. Obviously...

The Nickelodeon Parade is awesome. School of Rock looks dumb - but if you are into that sort of thing it might be interesting.

Eagle isn't going anywhere. It will either be torn down, or kept where it is.

How about a 15 hour shift? That's right - 9:15 AM to 12:30 AM. And I still stayed and cleaned... It is just part of the job... Eight hours is nothing.

I'm too lazy to read back and see if someone already mentioned this... Cedar Point was planning a new water attraction for last year, but decided to hold off on the water attraction for a Giant Frisbee. Now they are getting the water attraction. The way the footers are placed leads me to believe it has to be an Intamin or B&M coaster. It couldn't be anything else. They are getting Intamin track. My verdict is an Intamin launched Aquatrax. Atlantis Adventure - Intamin Aquatrax

Alot of the improvements the park needs are cosmetic. Cleaning up this or that, fixing this or that. Tomb Raider of course needs a lot of stuff fixed. Vortex needs some serious work on it's queue line. Racer's ready brake tunnel needs work. I am sure the park knows about these problems - it is just a matter of working with the budget they are given. Hopefully the new company will realize the importance of having a well maintained park, and will put in several million for cosmetic repairs. Also getting a new awesome ride or two wouldn't hurt. After going to Cedar Point a couple weeks ago, I realized that just about all of the rides totally beat anything we have. But then again, they are more for thrill seekers where PKI is more for families. Still a nice totally insane coaster like Raptor would be a good addition.

I have been on a Breakdance and a HUSS Booster would be amazing.

I think it is a good idea. Alot of people have the video iPods these days. I still wish the videos were coded in a cross platform codec though - instead of that POS WMV thing.

When does the park open? They weren't really clear with that - at the tour...

Actually the place where you hear Spongebob all day is Vortex. I personally love it. It is The Vortex version of Tomb Raiders loading drums.
