Holy thread resurrection Batman! AZ or Rivertown? I gotta say AZ. Its got Delirium, Slingshot, Son of Beast, Top Gun... well I don't need to make a list - you know what it has. Rivertown had Tomb Raider and The Beast. Delirium and TRTR are both awesome, so its a hard pick - you gotta move to the next one on the list. I certainly don't think that The Beast has enough clout to outweigh all of the other AZ rides. So I gotta say AZ.

Did you take the final assessment? I got to the "What's Next" page - and it says I need to take the assessment - but I can't figure out how! There is a link for "I have completed this course" but it generates an error when I click on it!

Is it possible to prevent yourself from being stapled? I mean if you push hard enough, you can staple anybody can't you?

I would.

I would probably only staple people I knew and could joke around with. Even if an ACEr was being cocky - I probably wouldn't staple them cause they could complain to GR or something. Plus, I am sure that they get plenty of staplings from other ride ops. So I would probably cut them some slack.

Well you say you work at GL now. So if youre 2 hours from PKI - then GL must be a pretty far drive as well. So it is probably about the same drive. I personally wouldn't make that kind of commute. If I did though, I would have to go to Holiday World to work. I hear its a pretty cool place.

I finally logged into the site and took the course. You do log in with your associate ID as both username AND password. However, when I go to take the final assessment - I get a VBScript error. I am going to contact the park about it tomorrow and figure out what to do.

I too was hired on the spot. All I had to have was my Driver's Liscense and my Social Security Card. But maybe the fact that I am 21 has something to do with that.

Well I am sure they turn some away. They have that new really hard math test - and you can only miss five! I got all correct - but really, its easy. All basic stuff like double digit addition. But I guess there are people who can't do that much! I thought the interview was alright. Waiting for it was intense though. But my interview went smoothly.

I know Staples used to charge you for uniform shirts until recently. Now they are free. As this is my first year at PKI - I won't miss perks that have been taken away. But it seems like there are still alot of them - including getting to work at the coolest place in Cincinnati. But a lot of companies do this - expect more out of their employees by giving them less. I mean why give them perks when they could not give them perks?

I wouldn't recommend driving two hours one way for work. That is a little much! I live 20 minutes away and was debating whether or not I wanted to drive that every day! Yup - I got hired at the standard 6.50 an hour.

As I said before - SOB! Gotta ride Son of Beast first! Then its probably over to Top Gun. If I am feeling bold, I will do Face/Off, then Delirium. If not, I will head down coney to Racer and recaR. I hope to get one ride on everything I like on opening day. Of course if its cold again - the steel rides will be closed though.

Well, if the cars are on some sort of mechanism that allows them to skid out of control, then is it possible that the same mechanism is what allows for the star effect?

Some of us were wondering what the SOFCO truck was doing there. SOFCO is the place in Batavia that makes B&M roller coasters. However, I just now remembered that SOFCO does a lot of steel fabrication - not just B&Ms. They most likely fabricated the structural steel for the parking garage. It kind of had me wondering for a minute!

I LOVE IT! That would be so cool! And the rides would be cool! Either my coaster or Fyrfyters coaster would be awesome there. And they could put in an Enterprise wheel like the old Skylab - themed to the Enterprise! The restuarants there could serve some kind of blue soda called - Romulan Ale. And they could have something like Star Trek: The Experience where guests can act out their own episode on a model of the bridge! Of course it would be PPR.

Is the price being increased? I will enjoy the later hours. Plus if Winterfest opens it will be awesome. Its not like there are any spectacular rides to ride - but its something to do.

November sixth and seventh weren't even added to the calendar until early October. But hopefully they stay open that extra weekend. It was nice to end the season on a non Fearfest day. I don't reallly like all the spooky stuff - it makes the park feel dead - and I like it to be a happy place!
