Wow, that was great. I really connect to that story because for some reason The Beast really became my favorite ride this year! I have been going since I was 6 or 7 and never really had a favorite, maybe The Bat when I could ride it, but not since that time. I was able to ride with my daughter this year for the first time (she just turned 7) on The Beast, I looked at her during the ride and she had her flippin hands up!! So I put mine up and felt like a kid again!

It's Velma and not Thelma? Oops I've been calling it wrong since I was 5 years old. My daughter loved the Haunt. We went with my 4 nieces and nephews, they loved it too!! I didn't get that the water in the Urgent Scare was supposed to be the cure. I was a little freaked out and at that point was most likely screaming. My husband said someone told us that in there, but I didn't hear them. It wasn't much of a mist. Still fun!!

Very excited about going to KI!! Haven't been in about 5 years or so and first time with my 7 year old. It was also the first time going during Halloween time! Wow, the park certainly does a good job with transforming it. So, got there at 1pm. Great, no long lines. Vortex was awesome and best of all, my daughter went on it. After that, she was hooked on rollercoasters. Rode The Beast, sat by my daughter, looked at her during the ride and noticed she had her arms up!! Well, I can't let her show me up, after all, I'm the adult here. So, up went the arms. Noticed that my phone and gloves were missing after I got off the ride. Found the phone and 1 glove. Went to Nick U and Howl o Fest. That was cute. I was surprised that they had the Hanna Barbera people out, Yogi, Scooby, Thelma, Daphany, Dino, and Flinstones. I was thrilled by this (still think they should have the boat ride with the old characters in it before it was Smurfs). Anyways, I didn't see any newer characters. Rode more rides. Decided this was my last time on SOB. My back and head were killing me. Started getting dark, fog was coming out. Couldn't see a thing hardly, a little too thick I think. Also, there was this awful dead animal smell coming from around where the Scrambler is and the games around there. I don't know what exactly it was, it was gross!! Waited an hour for the Urgent Scare. Pretty scary for me. The actors really got into it! Even left with a little blood on me. My complaints... not many. On the Drop Zone, one of the workers was about as friendly as a kick in the butt. Kind of a downer. Did not care for the water in the Urgent Scare. Was freeeeeezing afterwards. Went on The Beast again when it was dark. That was the best ever!!!! The people working there were great! My daughter didn't put her hands up this time and I didn't lose anything either!! Great fun day all around!!!

Hi, I'm going to KI with my younger kids age 7-12. I want to buy the tickets online but I'm not sure which ones to buy. I know for my kids I buy the Howl O Fest ones, but do I buy those too for the adults (of course we wanted to go in there with our kids). Later in the evening, the adults wanted to go in some of the Fright Fest (the adult one) things but we are not sure if we can with the Howl o fest tickets. Thanks!!

The Bat was a great ride! Swinging back and forth through the turns. As a 9 year old, it seemed to swing so far out that you would think you could fly right off the thing, which I guess is part of the thrill. I still have my Bat button, a little rusty. All I remember of the King Cobra was it not being that long of a ride. Also, when going upside down my feet would came off the floor and my butt off the seat a little bit, I thought something was wrong with my seat. Silly dramatic girl I was, I thought I was going to die, I began screaming about my seat moving. Memories!!!

I'm pretty sure only one person died on Flight Commander. The Bat story doesn't sound likely either. The coaster would have had anti-rollbacks and unless they failed, the train wouldn't come back into the station quickly, if at all. I think that was meant as 1 death at Flight Commander and 1 at the pond = 2 instances.

I was actually watching a show the other day that said the most haunted places are amusement parks and other places with a lot of energy. I guess the ghosts are attracted to the energy. Personallly, I've never seen any ghosts but could use some extra energy!!

I didn't go there much when it was ran by Paramount. I vaguely remember kind of a walk through display of sorts outside. Is that it or was it somewhere inside? It was the garden area with the gates to the left of the Eiffel Tower. At one time, a Pacer from Wayne's World was on display there, along with other props. And stones for various Paramount movies were inset in the bricks. The stones have now been flipped over so they look like merely gray squares. Ok, I remember that. It was nothing too spectacular. If anyone goes on 4th of July, I'd love to hear about it. With the Hanna Barbera characters coming out, that would be a trip down memory lane for me (a good trip)!

Oh that's just neat that Yogi comes out! I haven't seen it. My kids are finally that age where I can take them to KI, they would love that, or I would ! I remember that boat ride you go through with the characters and all the different animated things. Some of that stuff would be neat to see. I cant imagine they would throw it all away! I've only been to Cedar Pt. 2x's. I never realized they have a museum. KI has so much history, they definitely need one too.

I was wondering what they do with the old costumes, like from the characters from Hanna Barbarra land. It would be neat to see like some kind of display of old costumes, souviners, old ride signs or parts. Ok, and if this has already been talked about, sorry, I can't go back and read a bunch of pages so don't yell at me

I swear I remember someone being either killed or hurt on KC. There was a part of the track that sat lower to the ground that made a sharp lean to the left then went right back up. It derailed on that lean. I believe that part was then taken out and just made straight.
