  1. Coney Mall, in my opinion, has been a very neglected section of Kings Island for quite sometime now. Its great to see them putting a great deal of work into an area with such potential! I can't wait until WindSeeker starts going vertical!
  2. My hopes have officially been extinguished.. This was posted on Holiday Worlds Twitter about 2 hours ago. babytoolkit: @HolidayWorld Thanks for some great Labor Day weekend family time. Holidog's FunTown is the best idea for families with little kids! HolidayWorld: @babytoolkit In that case ... I think you'll *really* like what we're adding for 2011! :0) #HW
  3. Does anyone else find the walk from the entance of the park to the end of Thanksgiving very long? Imagine if the expanded farther into the woods behind Voyage? That could be excrusiating. I honestly hope they expand farther into another section of the park than Thanksgiving. I know that its probably the easiest way to expand, but maybe not the most efficent. I think that there may be a way to expand out to Lake Rudolph from Halloween. Maybe taking out the dive show and putting in a path and building onward. I think it would be great i there was a way for Holiday World to get some rides along the lakeside. It may just may be me rambling random dreams of mine, but who knows. Maybe it could work.
  4. So I'm itching to hear your guys' opinions on this! What do you think they'll be getting this year? A coaster, a flat? Or maybe even nothing at all?
  5. God I can only hope! I would love to see that. Will I? I'm not exactly holding my breath. lol
  6. Holiday World has stated on thier Facebook page that the will begin talking about 2011 within this month. They also have stated that "the lack of hints may be a hint within itself." Let the games begin!
  7. I got the Subforum idea from Theme Park Review. They run it off of a single topic, which now cometo think of it makes a lot more sense than dedicating a complete subforum to it. IMO TPR runs this idea quite nicely! http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=55643
  8. To help organize the Other Amusement Parks and Industry News, I think it would be a great Idea to add a subforums within the forum for regional parks! Some examples are Holiday World or Cedar Point. What if I we're looking for topic specifically on Holiday World? It would help me find them easier and be more user friendly. Idk I think it wouldbe more user friendly and maybe a great idea the modderators can use in the future
  9. Sounds like you had a great time Jasper! And that is insane, assuming that you actually do live in the town of Jasper, that you have never visited the world of holidays! I for one, whom visits Holiday World quite often, much prefer Voyage over Raven, and Raven over Legend. Simply for the fact that I am a major fan of airtime compared to laterals. It's just my preference. Too bad you couldn't have went on Sunday then I may have had the chance to meet you!
  10. Well what is different? (One word posts are against the TOS you know!)
  11. So has there been anymore recent activity behind Son of Beast?
  12. I'm craving a huge steak right about now! FOFreak, who has a very wet appetite.. and not just for dirt.
  13. If anyone happens to go to the park today, be sure to take PLENTY of pictures!
  14. ^Oh okay I understand now, thanks! So if they've been clearing alot of land, what could this possibly be for? I'm extremely puzzled and curious. A reasonable amount of land clearing would rule out a maitanence shed.
  15. So if all of the attempts to fix Son of Beast in the past have failed, and the reputation of the ride has been tottaly trashed, and if it costs less to demolish Son of Beast then to repair it (without even being guarrenteed that it will work in the long run.) Why wouldn't they just demolish it and start out fresh?
  16. Raven @ Holiday World. Many people dub it overrated, but absolutely love it.
  17. KIR&CC is the best hotel expirence I've ever had. I very much recommend this hotel.
  18. I bet you could see alot of that area from Drop Tower!
  19. ^^From seeing it first hand what is your opinion on what's going on down here? ^Yeah, I noticed that as well.
  20. Okay, I think that that could throw our Texas Giant Treatment out. Because why would they need to clear land at all if it was going to add a steel structure? Maybe this could be something bigger? Another thing that comes to mind is SonOfBeast.com. Why would it direct to the i305 site? Everything that has been going on as of late seems pretty peculiar if you ask me.
  21. The best gameplan for a sucessful day without long waits is to hit the Voyage as soon as the park opens. If the line is under 10 minutes hit it again. After one or two rides on Voyage, go hit some flats until SS opens (4th of July is normally empty at this time). Once SS opens get in your slides you want to hit. Around 1 or 2 o'clock leave Splashin' Safari and coaster after coaster because normally the lines are dead around this time until 4 or 5. Doing it this way, I've gotten a total of 17 coaster rides in a single day. (This specific day was even on a very busy 4th of July)
  22. ^Yes it is. It will until be until the end of August. But even with one train, the waits after the morning crowd are normally minimal. I have personally never had to wait over 20 minutes. And the front of the back car seems to be significantly smoother than the very back row, without giving up much airtime.
  23. I don't feel like quarreling over petty matters. Especially on someones trip report. So I'll comment on the trip itself: So what time of day did you ride Raven? An hour is extremely long. Normally the waits for me exceed no more the 30 minutes. Near the beginning of the day, Raven and Legend are long because that tends to be the first things that GPers in the park hit. But around 1 o'clock those lines are pretty short. Around 3 o'clock lines are practically nonexistent in the dry park. On account that most of the public is in SS. Lines in the waterpark will be long most of the day because waterslides tend to have low capacity and more guest tend to flock there on hot days. I hope that your next visit is a more enjoyable one. Next time you visit, you should try more flats. HWs' flat tend to be surprisingly enjoyable. And on the coasters try the front row of the back cars; they tend to pack on the airtime while limiting roughness.
  24. If Cedar Fair we're to put the Timberliners, that the Voyage should be getting before the end of August, along with retracking Son of Beast, wouldn't it make the ride alot smoother? I would love to see that in the future. But will I? Probably not.
