  1. Oh the irony that it is you defending the park and their t-shirts! You know what I mean though. I love the shirt designs that the park has to offer, and I have many others agreeing with me that they need to expand their size availability. I'm all for appealing to what the customer wants, and I was merely trying to share ideas and be productive instead of just obnoxiously blurting out that something is cheap.
  2. I couldn't agree with you more. As soon as I get my inaugural ride and all my goodies, I'm running back and riding it again. Who knows how many times I will ride it on opening day. I have to get my Drop Tower, FOF, Beast, Delirium, and Slingshot fix in too.
  3. Thanks fellow CP/MF fanatic. I am exhausted from work and appreciate someone thinking for me. To you who have the nerve to say the t-shirts look cheap: At least you are getting something. Sometimes it astounds me how incredibly spoiled some of you are. First we cried about the difference in color of supports, then we cried about no preview day even after daily ERT was announced, and now we are crying because the t-shirts that are a gift to first riders aren't up to Abercrombie standards? What will it take to please you? If you don't want the t-shirt, don't take it. It's that simple. /rant
  4. I have a question (one that is undoubtedly going to sound stupid). Does this mean a t-shirt goes out to the first 10,000 riders after the six auctioned trains go out, or does it include the auction winners?
  5. Unless I get knocked down 65 spots before time's up, I'm beyond thrilled that I will be one of the first riders. I get more and more pumped as THE DAY draws closer. I requested opening day off and got it.. I'm ecstatic.
  6. I will be thrilled (no pun intended) to say the least if the point (another unintended pun) I have been trying to get across has been noticed.
  7. I went on a tiresome search for capris, jeans and shorts with button or zipper pockets last year. You think cargo pockets are hard to find for guys? Try finding them for girls. I finally found two pair, at two different places. Surprisingly enough, I found cute capris at Walmart with rather generously-sized button pockets on the front. I also noticed an abundance of ankle-strap sandals in the shoe department around the beginning of the season.. it's almost like they know.
  8. Steel coasters for me.. but that may change after I hit Holiday World this summer for the first time. I'm also a big fan of the extreme pay-per-rides like Skyscraper and Slingshot.
  9. I wish more people would follow this rule. I'm getting very tired of seeing people being harassed when they make one simple slip of the keyboard, or when a new enthusiast joins and forgets to read a rule or two so there are 20,000 posts below them with the eye rolling face or the dry face. Then I get PMs and IMs "z0mg I h8 n00bs". It's really starting to get on my last nerve.. not to mention, imagine how it looks to a guest who is reading the forums. We all make mistakes, not to mention we are all here for the same reason, and being a bully is neither mature nor charming.
  10. I just celebrated my 27th birthday about 2 weeks ago, so that puts me in the 20-39 too.
  11. Cedar Point: Millennium Force and Magnum blew me away at night, even more so than they did during the day. Raptor was pretty cool to ride at night too. Kings Island: Beast, no explanation needed. And Drop Tower because you're too busy looking out into the distance at all the lights to count down to the drop, so it scares you more lol.
  12. Agreed 100%. MF is pretty much the first coaster I hit on every one of my trips, and the last one I ride before I go home.
  13. I'm always reading that Kingda Ka is a copy of TTD. I'm not sure how true that is, but I know some people aren't aware of the writing or the fine print in a contract between a park and a coaster manufacturer. So your guess is as good as mine on that one.
  14. Thanks for the article. Some of the ones I've been reading lately are so detailed and convoluted that I get lost halfway through reading. That one gave me a better understanding of what is going on with the industry right now.
  15. My record so far is 13 rides on Drop Tower in one day. I had a friend of mine bet me I couldn't ride it 10 times in one day. I had tried it before but I was lining up for my 9th ride when someone saw lightning and they shut it down.
  16. I call them all by their new names, because that's what they are called. I've slipped up a few times and said Face/Off instead of Invertigo, though.
  17. A break?? From amusement parks?? My coaster withdrawal is so bad that I'll ride Son of Beast at this point. KI on May 1 is a maybe for me. Last time I went on math and science day, the park was jam packed with busloads of bratty line jumpers. It made for a frustrating day for my friend and I to the point where we left hours earlier than we had planned. I'm going to Holiwood Nights this year. Not sure exactly when I'm hitting up SFKK though, so I'll get back to you on that.
  18. http://www.KICentral.com/forums/index.php?...0&hl=august 9 rides in 11 hours on a sunny Saturday with a performer at the park. Tara and I still had fun though. http://www.KICentral.com/forums/index.php?...&hl=october 6 rides in 7.5 hours on a Haunt night.. I waited a freaking hour to ride Slingshot.
  19. haha it says your last post today was at 4:20.

  20. Hey if you're a smart aleck, we'll get along just fine. You bet I will raise my bid. I'm: 1. a believer in giving to a great cause 2. who loves roller coasters 3. and is very competitive. I refuse to get knocked below that yellow line. I will be on one of those six trains.
  21. I just reread what I posted and realized how incredibly self centered that sounded. But it would still be a nice coincidence.
  22. Haha, I'm rider 192. Here's hoping it stays that way so I can be in the very rear of the train.. hey, it's nice to dream.
  23. You know you're an amusement park addict when you have to reorganize your wallet to make room for all of your season passes. edit: hey, post 946! That's the number I always use when I'm exaggerating something!
  24. "My name is Kat (not viola)" - lol.

  25. I had a dream last night that I was walking down some muddy path to one of the haunted houses at KI. There were a bunch of creepy guys hanging out in the haunted house just staring at me, and two of them started following me so I freaked out and left. It was then that I realized I'd lost my cell phone in the haunted house so I went back to try and get it. I got lost and ended up in some suburban wasteland with my coworker Nichole, and we walked into this house that turned into a mazelike place where I found the old FOF trains.
