This is just something I quickly threw together in ps. I used Fury 325 as a filler. It is pretty much to scale here. The coaster could be configured any which way, but I think would open the area up. Also note I closed of the X-Base “tunnel” to allow Racer to be restored to the original track configuration. I miss that airtime at the brake run. Again, this is just an idea. To note, the earlier PTC trains were not designed to run backwards, the later versions had the ability to run backwards from the factory. Let's hear it from Mike himself...

The current trains on Racer were never designed to run backwards, that is why they will not be turned around again due to recommendations by PTC, but I do know of a set of compatible trains that are currently orphaned that can run backwards. I think this should clear it up for you. Kings Island owns the land all the way down to the river. I would highly advise not to fly a drone over their property.

Things may change next year. I think Dollywood will give KI a run starting next year with the addition of Wildwood Grove.

Can we rename this thread “Realistic Kings Island Concept Art”? I like your idea. It would be nice if they showed some love to the train next instead of treating it as a form of transportation to Soak City. Simple business practices. Redistribution happens all the time in the corporate world. I guarantee you they were watching daily numbers from Haunt last year and looking for what they could cut. I’m sure they came to the conclusion that they could reinvest the money spent to run skeleton key and get a much bigger return on a Winterfest program. Winterfest was a smash last year, Haunt has aged. Get the profits while Winterfest is still new. I’m sure some Haunt items will continue to be cut in order to allow more room in the budget for Winterfest. I’d rather the park split the allotted budget space outside of the regular operating season between these events. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
