  1. I know, SOB isn't the main reason I said that. They're just getting kind of annoying. How many Coaster Battles have there been? 10? They were okay at the beginning and then once the started back up again they've started to get kind of annoying. 5 or so in the past week.
  2. Can somebody PLEASE put an end to all these "Coaster Battles"?! I mean they were okay at first and then people are making really stupid ones to try to be funny, like "SOB vs. FOC", or "Son of Beast vs. Little Bill's Giggle Coaster", or "Diamondback vs. Little Bill's Giggle Coaster". Can we please just be serious here? It's not funny. Some people actually like Son of Beast. Aside from those, there are still WAY too many "Coaster Battles".
  3. That's Holly, I'm pretty sure. She is there every single time I ride that, ERT or not. I agree, the Maverick crew is the best at Cedar Point. At KI, I like Diamondback and The Beast's crews. Diamondback's crew is extremely efficient. Some of them are pretty funny too. The Beast's crew is also really funny. During fireworks they all sing "If you wanna ride The Beast clap your hands". And they do this jazz hands thing and have races to see who can staple the fastest when they have to send an empty train out. The one girl who is always there is pretty funny but I don't know her name.
  4. I used to always go to Skyline on I-Street for food. Maybe a month or two ago, I gave the cashier a $10 for my 4-way, and she replied by saying "you're lucky" and looked at it up in the light. The whole time my friend and I were eating, she (and her coworkers and manager that were all called over by her) was checking the $10 up in a light and pointing me out to everyone. It's like "do you really think I'm stupid enough to use fake cash?" I now go to Festhaus.
  5. Whoa i was looking around on the internet and just realized that you were on the news for bidding on a first ride on Diamondback.

  6. I'd say Flight of Fear. It was the first LIM coaster, and there are many more today. My next choice would be Son of Beast. Just read Kat's post. By the way, Landmarks don't need to be 30 years old. Magnum is only 20 (as if we don't see that enough...).
  7. Look at This. Scroll down to the Minimum Requirements. Does KD have anything that is 350' tall? Not yet, I don't believe. If this was already pointed out, delete this. I didn't see anything though.
  8. Why so many Coaster Battles? Back on topic: Red Racer without a doubt. Blue Streak is awful and the Blue Racer is rougher than the Red Racer.
  9. ^Very much welcome. Taken at the request of Diamondback FOF: Here.
  10. Here they are. I took all of these pictures last Friday, August 7th. The Construction Site behind Anaconda from the Eiffel Tower. The track/ supports from the Eiffel Tower. That looks EXTREMELY strong. Stairs for the lift hill I'm guessing. Adena is apparently the company which will be constructing the coaster. The stairs are in the way, but the truck says they are from Mansfield, Ohio. More track. And some more. Those are some weird looking supports. More supports. What could that track in the background be? It is curved, so it could be transfer track like the ones on Millie, or even the cable lift. That's a lot of the same looking track. I believe this was pointed out in one Clint's videos, but that track on the left seems to be the crown of the cable lift. You can see where the catch car would go underneath the track when it lets go of the train. More of the station/ lift/ transfer/ storage track. Looks very similar to the Premier track on Backlot Stunt Coaster. I have no clue what this double railed track is for. Brakes I guess? Supports, with what looks like lift track in the background. Well that's all I've got. Enjoy. PS I really hope i didn't just break a rule or law there .
  11. I was at Kings Dominion last week and I took lots of pictures of construction/ track. Should I post them here or is that against some rule?
  12. I like Slingshot a lot more than Skyflyer. Skyflyer doesn't provide that same rush as Slingshot and Skyscraper do.
  13. I love these forums. They're so much more accepting than others. I made an account on Coasterforce.com, and a lot of members were making inappropriate jokes. People on here also kindly point out mistakes, while Coasterforce members rudely correct them. I know that I am a newer member on this site and my not always make the best posts, but there are some posters on this site that are out of hand. You know who you are. If you're going to post on this site, don't consistantly ignore the Terms of Service, or start arguments all the time, or try to be Mr. Funny Guy just to get attention. Thanks. If I am ever like this, please tell me.
  14. Ones that are the most thrilling are Skyscraper, Griffon, Top Thrill Dragster, and Maverick. Diamondback never really was thrilling, it is just (as my cousin says), a really nice ride. It's more graceful than crazy, like Maverick, and more relaxing than thrilling, like Dragster. EDIT: Alpengeist is also thrilling.
  15. I would be upset if Diamondback's name was changed. However, before it was announced, I really did like the name of "Mustang" that was a possibility.
  16. Wow... I've got 60. Which I don't thinnk is horrible considering I only had 26 going into this year.
  17. Oh, it is. Deluge is now my favorite water slide ever. Anyway, here's my list best to worst. By the way, all of these have coasters, so Stratosphere isn't included. Busch Gardens Europe: Easily the most scenic and beautiful park I've been to. Excellent theming everywhere in the park. They've got 6 coasters, one of which is a kiddie coaster that I didn't ride, but the other five coasters were AWESOME, unlike other parks that have a TON of coasters, but only about half are even worth riding (not mentioning any names...). Their 3 B&M's are all in my top 10. Griffon is awesome. The only category it's lacking in is flats. Food is great. My favorite themed areas are Festa Italia and Ireland. Other than that, with the addition of the new coaster next year in place of BBW, it will be an even more awesome park. Kings Island: I know this park so well. I've had a pass all 13 years of my life. Very well shaded, trees everywhere. The layout is nice. They've got some sweet rides also (Diamondback, Beast, Son of Beast, Vortex, Drop Tower...). Food isn't that great...I love this park and is the only thing I really like about living in Cincinnati. Cedar Point: Rides/ Coasters everywhere you look. A lot of great coasters (Maverick, Dragster, Raptor, Mantis, Magnum...), and some good rides (Chaos, Demon Drop, Skyhawk, Power Tower). My only problem with this park is that is that I find myself walking very far distances to get to a ride I want to ride. This is because the good rides are all spread out, where at KI, you've got Diamondback/ Beast/ Vortex, and Flight of Fear/ Firehawk, and Adventure Express/ Racer, and the Action Zone rides. I don't particularly like the layout of the park. Otherwise, it's a great park. Kings Dominion: A slightly lesser version of KI. The only rides that stand out are Volcano and Dominator (front seat ONLY). Their version of the Crypt is also really intense and awesome. Other than that, their wooden coasters are pretty short and not that great, and some of their rides just hurt (Anaconda, Shockwave...). I noticed that food prices weren't as bad as CP's. Still a pretty good park that I'll have to go to sometime soon. My dad said if the 2010 coaster really does break 300 he'll take me next year! Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom: Pretty underrated. Their waterpark is awesome. Better quality slides than KI's (Deluge, Mega Wedgie...). The food I've ahd was pretty good, Kingdom Fries. Some pretty good rides, Chang is SWEET and Greezed Lightnin' is much better than it looks. I just wish they wouldn't have a whole section of the park closed off, not even touched. I mean, the Mile High Falls and Twisted Twins signs are still there. Adventuredome: Pretty cool park. Had one big coaster, the Canyon Blaster. It's an Arrow Looper that I thought was okay. They had some neat flats there like Inverter, Disk'O, and Slingshot. Didn't eat there. Coney Island: Tied with the Adventuredome. Coney is majorly lacking coasterwise, with their only coaster being a very mediocre one. But they've got a HUGE variety of classic flats everywhere from the Tilt-a-Whirls to the caged ferris wheel, the Rock-o-Planes. I love the feel of this park. All in all, a good park if you're looking for something fun for the day. )
  18. I actually also went to Busch Gardens. It is my new favorite park. Everything is so scenic and beautiful. Not to mention, they have my new favorite ride: Griffon. As for Big Bad Wolf: don't get me wrong, its a good ride, but if I had to pick one of the five big coasters to tear down, it would be Big Bad Wolf. My favorite ride at KD was Volcano, The Blast Coaster. By far. Dominator was a bit of a let down, cause we rode it in the second to back row. But riding it in the front was awesome! Volcano still reigns. Anyways, I got pictures! I've got a lot of the new track and a few of the construction site. I'll write a TR when I have the time. Leaving for CP at 12!
  19. ^I personally think that Mean Streak is FAR rougher than Son of Beast. I think I've already told you guys how my dad described it..."like being in a giant blender while being shot in the stomach with a pressure washer". The only ride I think hurts worse is T2. It's not as jerky, but while Mean Streak and Son of Beast go for the stomach, T2 goes for the head. Not fun.
  20. Cool. I'll probably end up ride Volcano and Dominator both many times.
  21. Thanks. I'm trying to get all of the credits in. And I heard that Grizzly was a great ride.
  22. ^I have a Platinum Pass. I obviously don't use it to the extent that you do, but I've been to Cedar Point 5 times this year, and I'm going to KD, Cedar Point again, and possibly Carowinds.
