My mother was a manager for the food/games back in the 80's and there was a lot of injuries/ deaths back then. The Bat closed after someone fell from the ride, and The Beast's breaks went out and an incoming car collided with a car at the station. I have lived in Mason since 1980, which is where King's Island is located. I got a job there on rides in the late 90's. What is true... A woman fell out of Flight Commander according to all news reports she was drunk. 2 People died in the pond, one fell in and someone tried to save him and was electrocuted. There have been numerous accidents in the park, it's not the park is unsafe; much to the contrary, the employees in the park have to follow very specific rules. There is a cemetery and it sits right next to the park, it is over grown though. The deaths that have happened in the park were no less than traumatic. Even though I have spent plenty of time there, especially as a teenager, I have never seen anything. I know that when I started working there there was rumors of hazing new employees... leaving them overnight in the area of the park where The Beast is located in the woods. Lucky for me I was pregnant, and no one expected me to do it. There was a book written about The Beast in particular... The Beast by R.L. Stine, it is fiction. Kings Island here is a place that it is best not to be alone at night, it does feel creepy. As far as ghost goes, I believe in them, but I will not believe it till I see it.
