  1. I would watch, but I'll be there in person...
  2. I'd be walking to Adventure Express or Dodgem anyways.
  3. ^That's not where the cookie man is.
  4. From Greg's Twitter account here: https://twitter.com/KIGMGREG/status/452546835744165890
  5. Pardon this piece, which solely signifies the attraction's extreme height, how is the concept art wrong? I know one of the pictures has a Kingda Ka train going backwards.
  6. Or someone who already posted in this topic could just answer if the rumor is true or not.
  7. I think you mean the other Intimidator. Or I'm losing my mind.
  8. Someone want to post that picture one more time?
  9. I don't think many people here would argue with you. A lot of us have an Intamin coaster as our number one coaster. At the end of the year, a new coaster, no matter the manufacturer, will pretty much bring in the same amount of guests. It just makes sense from a business standpoint to add a coaster from B&M that will work, and work safely, almost 100% of the time as opposed to an Intamin ride that costs a lot more in maintenance and doesn't work quite as well.
  10. In case anyone isn't familiar with all of the problems Cedar Point has had to deal with because of Shoot the Rapids: First, the ride's opening was delayed. Here is the park press release: http://pointbuzz.com/Forums/Thread/25103.aspx Then it was delayed further because of "engineering problems." http://www.sanduskyregister.com/article/17187 Once it finally opened, ride ops had to guess rider's weights and put them in specific locations on each boat. http://pointbuzz.com/Forums/Thread/29697.aspx This continued until last summer when a boat slid back down one of the lifts and, according to many sources, flipped over into the water injuring 7 and sending 1 to the hospital. http://www.toledoblade.com/local/2013/07/19/One-person-hospitalized-after-water-ride-accident-at-Cedar-Point.html The ride never reopened and was put under investigation. http://digital.olivesoftware.com/Olive/ODE/SanduskyRegister/LandingPage/LandingPage.aspx?href=U0RTS1kvMjAxMy8wOC8wNA..&pageno=MQ..&entity=QXIwMDEwMQ..&view=ZW50aXR5 Just recently, the park has stated Shoot the Rapids will open this season. The ride is still under investigation. http://www.sanduskyregister.com/article/cedar-point/5473601
  11. Because Dick cared about records and intensity, and Ouimet is focused on safety, reliability, and family thrills. I believe Shoot The Rapids was the last straw.
  12. Trying to fit my legs in Big bad Wolf was an awful time. I was just too tall to enjoy it.
  13. A fun little blog about this year's CP season. http://www.cprundown.com/blog/190-9-things-we-are-excited-about-for-the-upcoming-cedar-point-season
  14. I also find it weird they are naming the lady on the logo, but if it gets me VIP media day passes I don't really care what the reasoning is.
  15. Those questions were on my survey as well. I took it three years ago.
  16. KIC has been down for at least the past 15 minutes. I went on downforeveryoneorjustme.com and the site said I wasn't the only one experiencing problems. Now that it is working, it is super slow.
  17. Along with that, a simple intermission would probably take care of bathroom issues, and offers the chance to sell food/merch.
  18. What do you guys think would be the best way to go about doing these? I'm trying to think of ways to maximize efficiency, safety, and guest satisfaction.
