  1. I'm probably late in posting these, haven't checked the forum in days bc of work but at the park now and took pics
  2. Just saw the video of the trucks bringing in the track pieces!!! sweet!!! I can't wait to see this thing start to be erected!

  4. I like the name and theme but it doesn't fit in with the rest of Action Zone. I don't care that much, though. Sometimes standing out is way cooler than fitting in lol. I am excited about Banshee.
  5. That was well licked it was melting quick so I forgot to take a pic before I started on it, but I agree I don't think ice cream was meant to have that much dye
  6. Spent three hours up there today. I was going to spend all day tomorrow up there, but I just got a new job today that I start tomorrow, so I wanted to go for a bit today lol I tried the Banshee twist ice cream. Very tasty but about as much skin staining food coloring as you'd find on an Easter egg!!! it took some effort to get all the dye off my face, and I still have some on my hands from where it dripped!!!
  7. I was planning to spend all of August 14th up at KI, but I just got hired for a new job today that starts tomorrow, so I decided to go spend part of today up there. My fiancé and I arrived about 4:45pm, and once inside the park I headed straight for Diamondback. About a 20-25 minute wait to ride in row 1. Not bad! After that I went to The Beast. Another short line, on and off front row in under 30 minutes. Next we went on the carousel. Walk on for that. I then proceeded to Action Zone, had a look around the Banshee construction area to see the changes, then went to Delirium. Walk on for that as well. After Delirium I went to Invertigo and waited about 5 or 10 minutes for that, which was very nice, as that usually has a long line. After that I went to Flight Deck, waited less than 5 minutes for that Then we decided to try the new Banshee twist ice cream. That is some SERIOUS food dye on that!!! Lol. It was very yummy though After that we went to Boo Blasters. We got pod 16, which didn't work very well. I still managed to get 1260 though and my fiancé got 1080 (or something close to that....) I then got walk on for Woodstock Express, less than 5 minute wait for Surf Dog, walk on for Kite Eating Tree, and less than a 5 minute wait for back-to-back last rides of the night on Flying Ace. I got in line for that at 7:55, thinking I would be on the last train, but there were about 5 people extra so they had to run one more train. I got off the ride, no sooner set foot in the exit, and heard the ride op say if you found an empty row, you were welcome to ride again. I immediately turned around and got back on, making my fiancé wonder where the heck I went LOL. He saw me on the ride when we got to the top, though It was a fun time thanks to very short lines I got a lot done in about 3 hours hoping to go up there again next Saturday, possibly spend my first paycheck on a Fast Lane pass lol

    BANSHEE: The Poll

I would love to see a coaster graveyard like they show in the teaser video Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. I rarely see it open. It can't compete with FestHaus anymore. I think it's mainly just there for the Haunt.
  10. I'm small enough the restraint goes down almost as far as it would if no one was sitting there lol so it had better not go up on me
  11. I remember a gold pass only line on Invertigo. I don't remember much more than that, though, as it was several years ago....
  12. That's never happened to me before, but the one and only time I went on Pipeline Paradise, my mat went down the ramp, I hit the wall, flipped OVER the wall, and got shoved by the water up the exit ramp. It hurt pretty bad. Your incident sounds pretty freaky! I would freak out if that happened to me lol
  13. Careful. You might get bashed for saying that
  14. It certainly looks interesting.... I am one of those that finds Vortex rough, but HAVE learned 5-1 gives a pretty smooth ride I guess I would have to ride a roller coaster very similar to Vortex with those Vekoma trains on them to see how it changes the roughness of the ride
  15. Don't know if this counts or not, but after Kings Island updated their cover photo Thursday night on Facebook, I saw several people comment "new ride??" or "wait, they're building a new ride??" My thought: have you all been living under a rock since at least April??? lol
  16. I personally don't see how they could do trim brakes and have the ride reach its max speed in the second half of its duration, but that's just my opinion
  17. LOL yeah a lot of people are going on the 15th. Unfortunately my brother may have to work on that day so it would be easier for us to to KI Wednesday and The Beach Thursday b/c my fiance doesn't do coasters, so going would mean leaving him behind on my b'day and I really don't want to do that lol
  18. Thanks for clarifying. I had never heard of trim brakes before now.
  19. Ok so this is different than an MCRB? I haven't seen what looks like ANY set of brakes at any point during the ride on Banshee, and don't see that happening since it was said the 68mph would be reached during the second half of the ride.
  20. Ok I'm confused someone explain what this trim stuff means please?
  21. here's something interesting for you.... https://www.visitkingsisland.com/Banshee/the-ride/track-layout click on "video" and play the video..... perhaps a place holder til the ride is actually built?? If so, why not just put one of the POV videos up??
  22. My brother (Oldiesmann) and I are going up there on Wednesday August 14th to celebrate my birthday (It's on Aug. 15th, but going to The Beach that day). Anyone else planning on going?
  23. Agreed!!! Don said we will see it going up this month!!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. It's blue ice cream with 10x the food dye twisted with pink vanilla ice cream with an equal amount of dye... Can't imagine what this stuff does to our insides...Look at the ground next time you are around an Ice cream stand. That's what it does to your insides!Freaked my babysitter out one time because I gave my daughter a blue cone before we left the park and the next day, lets just say it doesn't come out the same color as it went in. Neither did riders on the Son of Beast! LOL!!!! That is very true. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
