  1. A multi-dimensional coaster. Doesn't take up much room but I would guess those are probably expensive.
  2. Okay, so I'm new here and though a good way to introduce myself would be to bring up an interesting topic. These are not real as far as I know, this is just for fun. Thanks. Ghost stories you know, have heard or read online about KI. Anyone? Park staff especially, have you seen strange things happen? I'm interested to know as I am hyped for next Saturday when I will visit Halloween Haunt. Thanks in advance. I will start with this one from a most interesting website I found: Teresa's Haunted History of the Tri-State (Haunted Places In Ohio page) http://www.freewebs.com/paratheresa/hauntedplacesinoh.htm Not many people are aware of the fact that there is a cemetery on Kings Island property. The cemetery is located between the campground and the parking area, and has graves dating back to the 1840s. Allegedly, a little blond girl wearing a blue dress is said to be buried there, and who haunts the park. She is under 4 feet tall, and is estimated to be about 5-8 years old. She is most often seen along the tram route, and in the WaterWorks area. And something more as a question to staff, former staff... Have you experienced anything or know anything about this? I am sorry I really am interested in ghosts. (From same website) The White Water Canyon rafting ride also has its own ghost. Countless employees have encountered the sounds of a child's giggle and the pelting of rocks against their observational towers after the last visitors have exited the ride. The poltergeist is dubbed "Woody" and is most often experienced at Observational Tower 2, which is deep in the woods, and is only accessible by a small footpath. Occasionally Tower Johnny is blamed for the activity, but other times activity is blamed on the little girl who drowned in the nearby lake. Halloween is the perfect time for ghost stories. Anyone care to share one or two?
  3. @Tombraider Thank you so much for clearing that up. It seems stories get jumbled and twisted a bit through time and retelling.
  4. As far as I know he fell. But you know how it is with internet rumors so I looked it up. As I thought it doesn't mention the exact nature of his fate although I am not so sure he was beheaded. From RideAccidents.com (sorry I just found it on the fly): Friday, May 13, 1983 - A teenager was killed after falling from the Eiffel Tower attraction at Kings Island Amusement Park in Kings Island, Ohio. He was in a restricted area of the attraction when he fell. All other sites confirm that is indeed what happened but how exactly he met his demise is left somewhat to the twisted minds of internet junkies like ourselves. Can anyone confirm the accuracy of said information? And on an interesting note most of the injuries that Kings Island has had have come from very irresponsible people or persons whom just didn't know they had a preexisting condition. Like the lady whom climbed out of Top Gun while intoxicated. (Not sure if that was real though) And the incident when the lady fell from Flight Commander, which was then shut down. Not of her own doing by some accounts and by others it was. I have to say all in all though Kings Island has a fantastic track record. Nothing is without risk, people get hurt walking down the street and in their cars. One site even claims that there are rumors of unreported accidents but seeing as that is illegal I doubt that is the case. On a lighter note... Some do claim that Kings Island is haunted! I would say that it is possible. I believe in ghost. But keep this in mind... many times the stories behind the tragedies are false or stretched a bit. Take it with a grain of salt. Believe me safety is Kings Island's first priority. Should be at any park but I shall not point fingers. There have been deaths there and it would be interesting to explore this. I wonder if they would let someone come in to do a report on it? I doubt it seeing as that wouldn't be so good for publicity.
