  1. ROFL! I actually used Google Translate on this before I figured it out for myself. Detected it as Spanish.
  2. Somewhat questionable structual design aside, That just looks downright dangerous! I mean, On the pic above, a few of the boards in the middle are kinda crooked... But now, there either Not there or totally bowing out or turned in alltogether!
  3. Just an update on the Supposed "Falling Apart" Of Son of Beast where the really sharp banking is. I rode AE today and did notice it... If you look at the pic above posted by unrealsk8r, if you look at the middle rails in between the tracks, you notice a few of them are kinda crooked and not straight up with the track. In what I saw today of the Supports between that track, NONE of them Are straight! They are all bowing out, falling off or just not even there at all! Kinda surprised to see this actually... wander if anyone else saw or noticed this weekend..
  4. <iframe width="420" height="345" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/6TUoqODvyF0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> Lest We Forget the Thrills... Please Give us an Answer Soon Kings Island... P.S.: I Never really realized exactly how MASSIVE that loop really was!!
  5. I fully back the Ride Op On this One. There are signs posted everywhere that say, "NO ELECTRONIC DEVICES!", so Why would a text message be that important that you have to answer it while going up the hill on a Roller Coaster?? Stick it in your Pocket or Purse and do it in 3 minutes when you get off the ride! The Ride op was just doing his Job. If he would have seen that cell phone out and Not said anything, And that thing would have flew out of said persons hand and Cracked someone in the face and Blinded someone, Then it would have been his @$$. I Applaud him for having the Guts to walk up to the person and do that.
  6. Well the Late Verdict is In. I rode WindSeeker with no problem at all. Firehawk as well. Actually, Firehawk I fit quite confortably in.. Oddly enough. :/
  7. Wow! Does that use a LIM Takeoff AND A Lift Hill? Ive never seen a coaster like that before..
  8. That is, of course, unless that coaster is already standing..
  9. ERT's for the park, to my knowledge anyway, are for Vortex and WindSeeker starting at 9:30. Before WindSeeker was open, it was Beast and Diamondback that had the ERT's. Now, giving the state of operations for WindSeeker (On one day, off the next) Im not sure if that holds true or not.
  10. Awesome job on the evaluations, I'm 5 11 and 320 myself. 44" waist. I have actually never yet had to take the walk of shame at kiyet. Closest i ever got to it was on Diamondback. Good to know I'm not the only fluffy ride warrior out there.
  11. Going back to the Conversaton about SOB Trains. Its my understanding that these trains were bought from the Myrtle beach Pavilion Amusement Park and remade to work with SOB Track. I never had he opprutunity to ride on these newer Lighter Trains before SOB Closed. Did these "New" Trains Help the ride experience on SOB or Worsen it? Also, Dosent it make since that if Lighter trains were used on the track, then the Loop could have technically stayed because Lighter trains = Less stress on the wood?
  12. Thanks all for the Comments! I'll be interested. Im a Pretty Fluffy Guy "5'11" and 320" I dont have any problems whatsoever on Vortex with the Shoulder harness and belt, nor on Flight Deck. Racer I kinda have to sit in with 1 cheek down and one on the side, but no problem with the lap bar coming down.Same with No Problem on BLSC. The Most uncomfortable is Diamondback. And they have to put one foot on the seat in front and lean on my lapbar so the can get that last click. Actually have never tried Firehawk. We'll see though. Ill give an update tomorrow night.
  13. Never seen this topic discussed before, but I have to ask, will i be dissapointed when I sit in a seat on WindSeeker and I wont be able to buckle the seatbelt when it comes down? I can still ride Diamondback, but just but just barely. Drop Tower is however a stretch sometimes, depends on the seat. Let me know...
  14. I Just saw this Myself! WooHoo! That looks like a full swing at the top to me. Shouldnt be long now! Headin there with the fam tomorrow. A Friday Opening would be awesome! :)
  15. Bothered? No Surprised? Hell no Why? Dick Kinzel ....you guys do realize the Wonderland Windy Seeker was the first to open BEFORE Cedar Point's, right? Oh wait, I forgot. Cedar Point is the only Cedar Fair park that matters to people. .....And How Many people on these boards have been to CW to ride it exactly??.... From what Ive seen, None.. ...Thus, Im not seeing the point in the Comment..
  16. Just to be clear on something, did Kings Dominions Drop Zone ever spin on the way up?
  17. Thats very true and a good point.. If what happened to that Intoxicated lady on what was known as "Kings Islands blackest day" had never happened, Its a strong possibility we'd still see flight commander in operation today. And I do have confidence that all the bugs will be ironed out before the ride ever opens.. But then again, Canadas Wonderlands WS Opened to the public for 1 day and then closed very fast because of a "Mechanical problem" If that Mechanical problem would have resulted in a injury to a guest, It would have the same reputation as Flight commander had... Granted, different circumstances and all, but still.. PS, also. To be honest with you, when comparing Vortex to Diamond back, I think the restraints are fine. Diamondback dosent have shoulder harnessess because its a straight up and down and rolling roller coaster coaster.. No Inversions and/or loops or anything, While Vortex's over the shoulder Restraints are perfect for this type of ride... Now this dosent hold true for Flight Deck, (Shoulder harnessess, no Inversions), still...
  18. Ok, I may be way off base here.. But I cant help but think about this. WindSeeker is now over a Month behind schedule. And with all the Alterations and Modifications Ive seen that has had to be done or are being done to the ride, Im starting to wander if its ever going to be open. But any ways, I see alot of startling similarities between WindSeeker and the former Kings Island ride, Flight Commander. Posted is 2 Youtube Videos, so you can see what Im talking about.. Now we all know what happened on this ill fated KI Ride, But WindSeeker is from the looks of it, (I Dont have actual specs) roughly 225 feet taller than Flight Commander, and although it dosent roll, the safety harness dosent look as good or as safe as Flight commanders even was. Kinda makes me have second thoughts about riding it.. I Was geeked for this ride when it was announced. And Im sure I Prolly will end up riding it, And I realize its a prototype along with the other 3 that have been installed/are being installed and changes have to be made here and there for the design, Just kinda freaky.. I would hate to think that the tragedy that happened on Flight Commander would even be possible on WindSeeker, but still..
  19. My simple question is, Truly, How long will Kings Islands Arrow Coasters even be around? With the company now being defunct, Its gotta be getting harder and harder to find parts for them.. Honestly, How long do you think Vortex and flight deck have left?
  20. I agree, Very good day today at the Park. Got there for ERT On Diamondback (Which my 8 year old was able to ride Via some Platform Flip Flops..WIN!! ) And yeah, everything was a walk on. Rode all the Coasters, Some twice, and we out of the park by the time the big storm hit about 2:30. Even walked on Delirium (Which ive never done) Rode Vortex in the Pouring Rain for the first time, not too fun though... Plus some dude (Not the Dippin Dots Guy) Who goes to UC struck up a conversation with me about How Hes a coaster Desinger at UC and Hes had personal Meetings with Robert Decker and Craig Freeman about trying to sell some of his designs to them... Oh Yeah, And also that Son of Beast has had General Upkeep done with it over the past 2 years and how it WILL be getting the Steel Track makeover, Texas Giant style, Starting construction after this year and reopening for the 41st operating season, April 2013. I Walked away rolling my eyes.........Or Did I?
  21. You really shouldnt have anything at all to worry about considering Kings Island Hardly ever even operates the Metal detectors. I had a Pocket knife in plain visability on my belt when I went last Thursday and walked right through.. There nowhere near as strict as they used to be when they installed those things..
  22. This is so incredibly obvious that Im sure someone has noticed it, but just didnt mention it.. Bubba Gump shrimp company... Which is now Outer Hanks (Tom Hanks) Who Starred in Forrest Gump. Just Throwing it out there..
