  1. They payment plan for renewals for ~$10/month/pass might interest you. (More if you get 2015 all-season dining as well.)
  2. To promote season pass renewals in Q3, to promote visits on days when business is light, and to make customers think that they're getting a really good deal.
  3. ^ Hopefully it's not $X.XX. That would surprise me less than giving away Fast Lane Plus did.
  4. If this offer continues into the fall, it could potentially draw a lot of renewing passholders into the park on Sundays just to redeem this. KI's other season pass offers this season have received a huge response. Perhaps this offer will ironically create a need for Fast Lane.
  5. ^ "Six Flags Tampa" seems somewhat unlikely, regardless of ownership, due to brand confusion. Why should someone from the midwest go to Six Flags on their Florida vacation when they can drive to it from home in a few hours or less?
  6. If we're considering that possibility, however remote it might be, we might as well ask: If the Busch Gardens parks were acquired by today's SIX or FUN, would they be renamed? If so, what to?
  7. Canada's Wonderland lists their "bonus" for online purchases, and I'm sure it will apply here as well. Buying online includes all the benefits of buying at the park, though an extra processing fee may be charged. Offers can and do change without notice, so those interested in the free bonus should renew soon after sales begin.
  8. Historically, waits are minimal on these days (except for the Sunday of Columbus Day weekend), so it will be interesting to see how this turns out. If I can renew at CP and still get KI dining, I might be tempted to renew there (assuming they have a similar "bonus" offer). Sundays in the fall can be very busy at CP.
  9. ^ Virginia probably wouldn't appreciate the same company owning both KD and BGW. Also, the SeaWorld parks involve substantial risk (not to mention the animals), which 2014's Cedar Fair seems keen to avoid.

    Which ride?

The only amusement devices I've ridden which still make me nervous are (fast) body slides and mat slides. Mainly because of the potential of water getting up my sinuses, my head impacting the slide, and/or my skin being abraded by the slide. The risk of all but the first is low when following all safety instructions, of course, but a potential for injury still makes me nervous.
  11. Interestingly, season dining adds $99 to the price of a platinum pass at Canada's Wonderland, but it only adds $84.99 to the price of a regular pass.
  12. ^ Prices last year were ~$85 for gold and $180 for platinum in the fall at KI. I wouldn't expect this to decrease. Canada's Wonderland's pass prices don't include parking (except with platinum).
  13. Someone misspelled www.visitkingsisland.com
  14. ^ If KI offers that deal, Fast Lane queues on Haunt Saturdays might not be fast at all. Platinum pricing is $184.50 for new passes or $180 (same as last year) for renewed passes. Platinum pass prices have been consistent throughout the chain for the past few years, regardless of the CAN/USD value. 2015 dining adds $99 to either pass.
  15. ^ It's still $12 online. My only weekday visit after Independence Day was for the Coaster Crew event, and I didn't look then.
  16. I believe it has been $12 on weekdays and $15 on weekends this season at parking tolls, but always $12 when purchased online or at Kroger.
  17. You should have called him on the phone.
  18. That's what I get for speed reading.
  19. ^^ Bring-a-friend days M-R may bring in some, but I'd still expect a dead park. I'll probably be there Friday for the final weekday of the season with 10am-10pm operation. Night ride? How long was that line at 8pm?
  20. ^ That's a type of offer that's difficult to get rid of. After getting a taste of "unlimited", it's hard for customers to accept paying per instance again. I predict that it will be back in some form. Possibly with more time restrictions.
  21. Intentional or not and accurate or not, it's creating buzz about the announcement.
  22. ^ If she said no, that could certainly be an awkward 5 minutes.
