  1. ^ For questions about current policies and procedures, calling the park directly is your best bet.
  2. You missed out. It was my favorite trip of the 2014 operating season thus far, which is saying a lot.
  3. The park is crowded, but lines are decreasing somewhat. Bat is a station wait. Feel free to meet up with us if you'd like.
  4. I would expect wait times to pick up. Diamondback is now at the soft drink machines, and Beast is at the bottom of the ramp.
  5. ^ Action Zone is crowded, Diamondback is to the entrance with no queues open, Beast is at the top of the ramp. Walkons on Racer and Vortex .
  6. It's good that they announced in the station that the milestone was very close, for the sake of anyone not wanting publicity. I wonder if anyone exited the ride upon hearing that they could be the 100-millionth rider.
  7. ^ On the other hand, if he wants to trade...
  8. Between this arcade closing and Shake Rattle & Roll's sign being removed, I'm starting to wonder how this end of Coney Mall will look in 2015. It will be interesting to see whether there are more changes nearby in the coming weeks. I'd like to see a refresh of the area that includes the ICEE stand and Flight Commander's queue, immediately south of the arcade.
  9. The height of the ride makes it a thrill for some. If I recall correctly, the ride safety sign lists it as a "4 - high thrill" attraction on a 5-point thrill scale. I believe Knott's Berry Farm rated their WindSeeker a 5.
  10. As far as I know, Dane doesn't let homestar92 name his servers.
  11. ^ Welcome to Ohio, where neither the forecasts nor the seasons seem to matter.
  12. A lot of confusion could be erased with a simple sign stating that the area is being refurbished and will re-open in 2015. Assuming that is accurate. Of course, considering that it was only recently removed, the decision to (apparently) refurbish it could also be recent.
  13. ^ People without wristbands could still join Fast Lane people for ERT, Flight of Fear, White Water Canyon, The Bat, Soak City, live entertainment, dining, and everything with a short standby line at the time.
  14. Shows get mixed up to keep them fresh. Ed was a very popular performer at KI, regularly filling the KI Theater two years in a row. I'm quite confident that you will see him there again. Perhaps sooner than you might think. The great thing about Cirque is that it appeals to almost everyone. They've brought a lot of energy to the park, and I hope they stick around for awhile.
  15. I'll be free after 3:00pm tomorrow, but it's probably not worth the gas and miles for 5 hours at KI for one person. If anyone from Columbus wants to carpool to such an impromptu meetup... You should come Saturday. (Though that may end up involving Fast Lane.)
  16. If you go, let us know! Unfortunately, I really can't justify detouring 160 miles round trip for impromptu evening trips.
  17. Terrible advice.....that's my favorite seat This thread is asking for advice on how to minimize ejector forces.
  18. Also, choose your seat wisely. Don't sit in 2-1. You might try holding the underside of the lapbar with your hands. You want to force yourself down into the seat and spread out the force of the impact from the bar.
  19. ^ Better than what they showed with STR, though.
  20. Touch fasteners, such as Velcro, might not be secure enough for some rides - depending on the specific product and how it is used. Make sure that whatever you use to close the pocket is sufficiently strong. (By the way, you probably pleased Terp by properly capitalizing Velcro, a registered trademark)
  21. The registration for this event is already full: http://www.signupgenius.com/go/10c0b4baeaa23a13-kings I suppose it's possible that walk-up participants would be accepted if there are enough no-shows, but I wouldn't count on that.
  22. For a fee, they'll help find a world record for you to break, document the attempt, and publish the result.
  23. ^ Stairs also limit who can ride. A 12-story body slide is probably best ridden by those able to make the climb to the top. There's also plenty of time to turn around should a rider be intimidated by the increasing height.
  24. Stairs tend to limit (re)rides and keep wait times tolerable. They're also good exercise. I'd rather not see lines like those at Wildebeest and Mammoth.
  25. ^ At least he waited until he exited the tube. Many probably don't.
