  1. 1st it is awesome to see Coney Mall getting the work it has needed. 2nd, they aren't anywhere NEAR finished, why are people *****ing about trees when they have yet to see the finished product? Have you been told that no trees will be replanted? I feel like I am reading comments on the KI Facebook page.
  2. Farther than intended?? He was just correcting YOUR mistake, lol.
  3. Thanks, I love seeing old pics of the park. I really wish I could remember more from my trip back in 87
  4. Aren't we all hoping that when they install this ride that Coney Mall gets a good refurb? Like pavers replacing that ugly ol blacktop and such. Well, hopefully that is happening and the trees were removed to facilitate that plan. I'm sure they will put something back. Not to mention where everyone says the ride is going WILL require the removal of a whole lot of trees in that area. Edit-- I realize the trees are in a paver area already and I'm sure those were removed to bring in construction equipment and crap like that.
  5. This video has been removed by the user. I have seen other video taken inside the park but they were obtained illegally and posting them here results in deleted threads.
  6. So, they could never have something like Diamondback. Unless of course, they got creative and dug some very deep tunnels.
  7. I would like to see the park moved somewhere else. I figure they have some pretty tight restrictions on height and such since its neighbor is a large airport.
  8. I watched with an open mind. Nice vids with pretty pie charts and lots of guessing and hoping. Still doesn't change the fact that KY doesn't have 50 mil laying around to fund an amusement park. I suppose the development team wouldn't mind if the state fired a few dozen police and firemen and other spending cuts so they can reopen a twice failed amusement park. If it is such a good plan and such a safe bet, why not move the rides and and finance it the same way all the others do?
  9. Yeah, Kentucky has too much on their plate to be handing 50 million to an Amusement Park. Of course the state does seem to be very stupid when it comes to money. They have spent almost 1 million on new cars for government employee's. 36k alone for Richie Farmer (The AG Commissioner) to have a shiny new Suburban. A giant gas guzzling SUV....for just ONE person? I read an article a few weeks back on the top 5 WORST states to live in and Kentucky was on it. I know everyone here is a coaster/Park lover and I am happy to be one of them....but....screw KY Kingdom. Someone wants to spend their OWN money and open the park, go for it, but leave my tax money alone.
  10. Leave the video!! I get a laugh on the days when very few people are in line. "There are civilians in the hanger", then they look at the Camera and see an empty queue line.
  11. LOL. That was a very odd decor in that area.
  12. Ugh, don't remind me. I HATE sequels and am saddened to see Pixar beginning to churn out so many. Twas inevitable though since "Make another sequel" seems to be the major theme with Disney. I know there are 2 sequels to Toy Story and I'm fine with that...cause they spaced them out. The next 2 years will make it 3 sequels in a row.
  13. We were at the park in July and it was raining pretty hard, yet the rides kept going. They were only using one train but nothing was shut down completely. Once the lightning started though that put a stop to everything. Afer a few hours the rain stopped and everything started back up. The park was near empty the rest of the day and rides were a walk on
  14. I don't really see giving 50 million to a small landlocked amusement park next door to an airport as being a good investment. Especially a park that has failed repeatedly.
  15. I know I am, especially NBC. If it isn't a show about Cops/ Crime Scenes, it's about Doctors, or Lawyers. Enough already. Then there is this "reality" crap America has such a fetish with. Hell, NBC cancels Law & Order just so they can add Los Angeles to the title and bring it back, lol. As for fake wrestling, I have never cared for it and choose not to watch it. I rank it right alongside the incredibly boring MMA fighting people love so much.
  16. Last time I saw The Crypt open was mid August. It was closed on Aug 29th when I was there.
  17. Nice report, thanks for sharing. I missed riding Beast last night cause we were wore out and left around midnight. I agree, Death Row was abysmal, never again.
  18. Yeah, the most used "scare" tactic throughout the mazes is yelling/screaming.
  19. We watched them testing Vortex and the train would leave the station and start a cycle just fine. Once it hit the brakes after the loops though, it would stop dead in its tracks. Invertigo was packed and made a run just fine. Once it got back to the station they announced a technical delay and the ride would be back up soon. As for the rest of our day at the park, once our friend and her killjoy boyfriend went there own way, it became much better. Took the wife on her first Vortex and Diamondback ride. She loved both rides but did not like the fly out of your seat feeling on DB, lol.
  20. All rides are up and the crowds are actually lighter than last weekend. Whoever said they walked on to any ride last saturday is lying. It was almost packed full last saturday. We didn't ride Beast until 1:30 in the morning.
  21. Vortex and Beast are up again. Not sure about the other.
  22. Today sucks so far. Long lines and plenty of rides going down. Invertigo, Vortex, and Beast so far.
