Well, this is a random poll. KIC, discussing bird poop since October 2012!

Charlie Brown Coming to the Big Screen

Can't help myself. I have to bring up this For Better or For Worse comic strip that I've always loved: -
Or could it have something to do with the new Haunt show this year, Blood Drums? (I haven't seen it, so I don't know for sure if they have a drum player, but from the name I assume they do.)
-
New show for next year, perhaps?
-
Great report once again! Glad you had fun on your first Haunt visit.

Thanks for posting this, Gordon! Nice to see the photo.

I've never been able to smell anything. I think I was born without a sense of smell.

Farms and 2-lane roads are less boring than interstate, but such routes do take significantly more time. Boredom isn't the issue. It's just that I'm more comfortable on the interstate than I am on country roads. After an hour or so on country roads with little to no traffic, I tend to get distracted and have to consciously force myself to concentrate on the road ahead. On interstates, the constantly changing traffic situation around me keeps me alert and properly focused on my driving the whole way. You'd love driving in Atlanta. Never a dull moment! Gridlock is not good on my nerves or my temper. I prefer a balance of traffic both heavy enough to keep me alert and light enough that I can drive the speed limit. That said, I have driven through downtown Atlanta on I-75 four times: 3:30 pm on a Tuesday in 2010, 10:00 am on the next Tuesday, 2:30 on a Monday this past August, and 10:00 am on a Tuesday last month. Managed to time it to miss rush hour every time, thankfully. That's another thing that I hate about two-lane roads. Interstates are safer and easier to get assistance if needed.

Great photos! I don't think I can pick just one favorite out of them, they're all good. Thanks for posting!

^^^ that drive is similar to mine to CP, but it's the two-lane roads that make me crazy, not the actual drive. Same here. 3.5 hours to CP from my house, but the length isn't the issue for me. It's the two-lane roads and navigating through town after town on Route 4 that get to me.

I think they don't want people going out to their car, downing a six-pack of beer, and coming back in. One, the park charges quite a bit for beer and that's money that they're losing if they allow that. Two, the park charges quite a bit for beer and that is likely to make people stop and say, "I can't afford six beers, so maybe I'll just live with two," resulting in them not getting as drunk and thus not being as likely to cause problems.

All that's on Twitter is the track. coasterfanatic2012 is asking about the wood and bolts.

Same route for me, except I start on the west end of Xenia, so I go west on Main St./US 35 BR for about a mile before turning left onto the US 35 E bypass. Takes me about 40 to 45 minutes from driveway to parking spot.

Yeah, Maverick in the rain at 70 mph was bad enough. I can only imagine Diamondback in the rain at 80 mph. Even The Racer on Friday night/early Saturday morning hurt. Human faces were not designed to take raindrops to the face at highway speeds.

Want a piece of SOB? Don says you just might be able to get one: http://news.cincinnati.com/article/20121005/NEWS01/121005047/Want-piece-Son-Beast-KI-answers-question

^Yep. Us enthusiasts understand that days with bad weather are the best time to go to the park because there are no crowds. On the other hand, good luck convincing a non-enthusiast to come with you on a rainy day.

Oh yeah: The two mazes malem and I didn't do were Cut-Throat Cove (which had closed down for the night due to the rain by the time we got to it) and Urgent Scare (which I just plain forgot about). Guess those will have to wait until next year, assuming they return.

Great report! I think Madame Fatale's Cavern of Terror was the best one; it was the only one to actually make me nervous at times. Slaughterhouse was a good one as well. I will admit that I thoroughly enjoyed seeing the look on ohiocolts's face every time we suggested taking him through another maze (my, what big eyes you have!), as well as his mom being just as scared as him going through Tombstone Terror-tory. I also got an Xtreme Skyflyer ride in after dark; the wind was blowing me around as I was being raised to the top, so I came down sideways. Anyway, my shoes are still wet inside from all the rain and puddles, so I've been lounging at home today waiting on them to dry. I had plenty of fun last night, certainly more fun than if I had gone by myself.

There was what I think was a raccoon in the rafters of the Festhaus last night.
