Wow, really? I never stayed there, but look at these reviews: http://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Review-g37506-d114629-Reviews-Santa_s_Lodge-Santa_Claus_Indiana.html
-
That's an hour away.
-
If they had a hotel, thank God, because there's absolutely nothing out there besides Santa's Lodge (crappy hotel), Lake Rudolph (expensive), and the Christmas Cabins (expensive...). You have to stay twenty minutes away for a decent hotel!

I just don't get The Beast...in my opinion it feels slow, there's no G's whatsoever, and the only good part is the helix. I don't get it...maybe I'm just weird...

I don't think peeking is necessary. Whatever is behind that fence will be the one peeking (or peaking, haha) above, sooner or later.
-
What was bad about it? Please elaborate...

1.) Diamondback 2.) Flight of Fear 3.) Flight Deck 4.) The Beast 5.) Firehawk 6.) Vortex 7.) The Racer 8.) Invertigo 9.) Backlot Stunt Coaster 10.) Adventure Express 11.) Woodstock Express 12.) Flying Ace Aerial Chase 13.) Great Pumpkin Coaster ... lol ...

King Island. *facepalm* But other than that I don't see any spelling errors ...
-
^Son of Beast does have a bad rep. You're telling me more than 20 people being injured, many complaints of headaches after riding, and overall just a bad ride experience doesn't give SOB a bad rep?
-
Awesome! Whenever I go with my family now, my dad and I can ride Diamondback will my mom and my sister ride Flying Ace Aerial Chase.
-
That walk would be horrific ... we think Flight Deck's queue is bad ...
-
I found another one ... Why don't you LOOK AT THE HOURS?!
-
I tried looking for the Kings Island Facebook comments thread, but I couldn't ... if anybody can help, please tell me if it's still on the site somewhere. I wanted to post this funny comment on that thread, but... Anyways, this was a comment on the post about Kings Island being closed today for a private event: How about you look up the hours before going? The amount of complaining on this post is outrageous. Any other Facebook comments, post here.

Shouldn't this topic be closed so we can keep discussing it on this one? It seems silly to have two topics discussing the same thing ...

To me, it's hard to decide. The Beach has better slides like Aztec Adventure, The Cliff, and Banzai Blast (forgot what it was originally called). The only slide I actually like at Soak City is Mondo Monsoon. On the other hand, Soak City is more colorful and "fun". There is more to do besides slides, like the two wave pools, the action river, three kid's play areas, etc. The Beach, though, was very dirty and old when I went, so Soak City gets the vote by far. This year, I think, The Beach will be better.

No offense, 5K runners, but I think it's their fault. I saw so many pink wearing guests in Diamondback's line. Gosh darn you marathoners!
-
Yes, Backlot Stunt Coaster had no seat belts. Didn't really make too much of a difference. I'm pretty sure Adventure Express got a new logo all together. I'm really ticked at myself for not taking a picture of it. I also thought The Racer was very smooth. Didn't get rattled up like usual.

Hah! That's funny! It would be even weirder if I had actually gotten into line...

I have a feeling this thread is going to be very, very, long by the time the summer season ends.

Well that's a strange topic bump...

The excitement is killing me ... too bad we won't know what it is for at least another four months...
-
When I was there - no.
-
Very busy. I went this morning, during ERT's, and there was a forty minute or so wait for Diamondback and at least an hour for The Beast.
-
Picture time! It's good to be back! The entrance - doesn't look to busy because I took this on my way out. Hello Eiffel Tower. I'm pretty sure this is new ... maybe I'm not remembering correctly? The Bier Garten looks awesome! I love the pond's fountain. As you can tell from the picture above, new fencing outlines the rest of the pond. Reds Hall of Fame and Grille's back patio, overlooking Diamondback. If you look closely, you can see the crazy long line ... taken at 9:30am ... Simple Diamondback first drop picture ... The Beast's line extending outside the queue. Action Zone's new banners and lack of a water tower looks nice. ...and last but not least, the mysterious fence around Thunder Alley (or, what used to be) A closer look...

Keep in mind this was from 9:30-10:30. The park had barely even opened yet. I can't imagine what it's like right now.
