  1. Also, imagine trying to wait in line or even get to wildcat while the show was going on. They would probably close it for the show like they do with Iron Dragon. I'm no wiz when it comes to this stuff, or much anything, but Wildcat had more going against it than for it. Wildcat, being a portable coaster that doesn't take much to remove, was probably a wildcard when they planned Luminosity. If it looked good with the stage, great. If it looked too cramped, no big whoop, remove it.
  2. No matter how sentimental/historic a coaster is, if the maintenance costs or low ridership outweigh the profit, it will go. In The Racer's case I think the teeter totter will have to be embedded into the ground before they remove it.
  3. When I was at KI Drop Tower was up and down all day.
  4. What's wrong with Shake Rattle & Roll? Is it down too?
  5. Hopefully, this isn't the end of the road for Delirium. But, with all the maintenance problems over the years, and this one seems to be one of the biggest, we could get the announcement sometime later this year. I hope it doesn't play out like the whole Timber Tower fiasco.
  6. When dragster breaks down, they don't allow a lot of people on the platform because of fire safety reasons. Imagine how bummed I was when I was the last person outside the turnstile when it broke!
  7. Action Zone is definitely the ''ghetto'' section of the park. Beast banners? Crudely painted-over Boomerang Bay signs? If they do a makeover, I would like to see more trees/foliage. The faded pavement is just depressing... and hot.
  8. Even though we all knew it was coming, it is still kinda sad to see DISpatch mASTER Transport go. However I can't wait to ride 211419855 next year!
  9. I had some bad luck at Cedar Point last week with breakdowns. Nearly every time I was in line for 'Dragster, Millennium, and 'Twister, they broke down. Dragster broke down about every three hours, which is crazy even for Dragster. And they weren't just 10 minute problems, they were serious breakdowns. Millennium Force was 'down for mechanical' at least three times. Wicked Twister broke down at least twice at two different times while I was in line. Disaster Transport was down for about 30 minutes due to a guest illness. Those dang Mayans, at least let us ride some rides before you wipe us out.
  10. Magnum after dark seems like you're going 90 mph. I hope it's just an illusion, because Magnum at 90 mph would probably mean death.
  11. I actually think the blue side is smoother than the red side. On an off topic side note... Last week I rode Mean Streak... In the back seat... Wait for it... And lived.
  12. It is very sad what has happened to The Racer. Even last year, it was an enjoyable ride. But this year, it is rougher than The Beast. I guess in Cedar Fair's eyes, money goes over sentimental value. Which is understandable, I mean, they are a business. But I feel that they are not even making an effort to keep this ride in top shape. You'd think that they'd at least repaint it boring white for the 40th anniversary, let alone the glorious red, white, and blue like it used to be. But no, I guess peeling white is the new black. Also, Cedar Point's ride ops were VERY slow this week. A train on Gemini was being dispatched about every 3-5 minutes.
  13. For a second I thought this thread had died. Silly me.
  14. There is no end in sight for this drought! I live 2 hours away and the grass is crusty and brown. We had some rain last night, but not enough to do anything.
  15. According to their Facebook page, Santa Claus is under a Level 1 water restriction, so Holiday World has voluntarily closed Pilgrims Plunge. Hopefully it rains soon!
  16. I don't think they could really 'move' Flight Deck. It's built on a hill if they moved it, they would either have to get new supports (not going to happen) or build a 'new' hill(also not going to happen).
  17. I should come to Kings Island in a suit and buy a dino dig hard hat from Dinosaurs Alive, get a clipboard and stand in front of SOB and pretend to take 'measurements'. Do they even allow visitors to wear business suits to Kings Island? But then again, who would want to in the middle of summer? lol
  18. Mother Nature is the best demolition crew. And she works for free! She also has a great review on Angie's List. ;D
  19. Like one of the comments above, some hooligans might put a huge wait so no one rides it.
  20. There is an app on the AppStore called Cedar Point Ride Watch. Basically you log your wait times for other app users to see. I'll have to test it out when I go next week.
  21. Please share the news when you get back!
  22. According to the Save Son of Beast Facebook page, people have been seeing crews walking the track on Son of Beast. Any validity to that?
