Tomb Raider: The Ride 2002 Media Day Video
TheBEASTunchained replied to TombRaiderFTW's topic in Kings Island
I hope that some day (hopefully in the near future) Kings Island will once again become the home of one of "The most highly themed, totally immersive, dark ride adventure" experiences in the amusement industry..... But until then..........We wait. -
I, for one, have never claimed that Mean Streak is rough, and actually enjoy the ride..... ....TheBEASTunchained.....Wondering if he is included in "everyone".....

Couldn't agree with you more! That would probably definitely help, to some extent, in the ways you mentioned.

This looks as if it will be a great event. As long as we don't have the problem of people signing up for KICentral just to be a part of the event.....

I believe that the only major roller coaster manufacturer that the ride is / could be involved with is probably Maurer Sohne, because they helped the park somewhat with their last "in-house" coaster, Bombora, but in the end, the real manufacturer of the ride is Lagoon, itself. At most, Lagoon will only be receiving certain parts for the coaster from Maurer Sohne. The designer of the ride, however, is Dal Freeman, former designer for the defunct Arrow Dynamics, of Clearfield UT.

New for 2015 at Lagoon, their 2nd roller coaster to be built "in-house", Cannibal. The ride will feature a vertical lift hill of over 200 ft. http://fox13now.com/2014/09/04/lagoons-new-roller-coaster-is-out-for-blood-cannibal-coming-soon/ http://www.sltrib.com/sltrib/blogsmoviecricket/58374912-66/cannibal-lagoon-coaster-roller.html.csp http://www.standard.net/Business/2014/09/04/Cannibal-Lagoon-s-newest-ride.html This should be a very interesting roller coaster, to say the least!

One difference is that Rolling Thunder was announced to be removed (supposedly) to make room for Big Droppy Thing. The announcement was made to permanently close Mantis to make room for what?..... Park goers had something to look forward to that was "replacing" Rolling Thunder, while Mantis is being "replaced" by what?...

Wow! This already sounds like a lot of fun! I am now considering coming to the park on both Saturday and Sunday, instead of just Sunday.

Banshee down more than most B&M coasters?
TheBEASTunchained replied to Oldschool75's topic in Kings Island
Banshee isn't "down" any more than most other coasters and rides at the park. It's just more noticeable when it is "down" because it is the newest ride with the most spotlight directed towards it, at the park currently. -
SIX 2O15
TheBEASTunchained replied to The Interpreter's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
I haven't seen a rendering showing the full layout of Twisted Colossus....? Maybe I'm looking in the wrong places?.....Or maybe the park just didn't release a rendering of this sort....? I'm very curious and hoping that I can find one, if any of you happened to have run across one, maybe you can point me in that direction. -

SIX 2O15
TheBEASTunchained replied to The Interpreter's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
This is just a random thought based off of some recently learned information but..... What if SFMM plans on keeping (with some repair) one side of Colossus? While turning the other track into a "steel/wood" twisted RMC machine? I'm just making a guess based on references of "Classic Colossus" and "Twisted Colossus" that maybe a "modern" Colossus will race a "classic" Colossus? When searching "Magic Mountain Twisted Colossus" on Google, the first result is a page that hasn't yet been released by SIX labeled "Classic Colossus".... Page preview says, in part, "What do you think of Classic Colossus?" Classic / Twisted Colossus page is not a live webpage yet.....but...... Here Just some food for thought..... See you on 8.28.14..... -
