I agree, and I believe that one of the biggest problems with the Kingdom right now is the way that they are marketing........Or not marketing......

There is a Holiday Shipping Note at the top of the Kings Island Marketplace website that says the following: "Any orders placed after December 10th may not be shipped until January 3rd, 2014." (http://www.kimarketplace.com/Default.aspx)

......According to Kentucky Kingdom's Facebook page, construction on Lightning Run will begin in early January......

I'm not sure if this has been posted elsewhere on KIC yet, but I just saw this post on Facebook from CP Rundown regarding Banshee media day..... "Kings Island announced the Banshee Media Day is tentatively scheduled for April 17th. Confirmed plans will be announced in January! You must be a card carrying members of a coaster club, such as Great Ohio Coaster Club."

Kings Dominion has now started a "12 Days of Christmas Surprises!" campaign, which will feature something new everyday, that they will be doing to the park in 2014..... On the first day of Christmas, Kings Dominion gave to me: The return of the iconic Floral Clock! I agree 100% with that. .....Another thought that I had a few years back regarding that sign was....... When California's Great America removed their inverted boomerang which also operated under the name "Invertigo", what happened to everything with the rides name on it?..... I'm talking specifically about the ride's entrance sign, which would've matched perfectly with the colors of our Invertigo at Kings Island.... The sign is shown here.... Kings Island already has one of the greatest wooden roller coasters in the world with The Beast, and the longest wooden roller in the world is also The Beast. The Beast is celebrating its 35th anniversary season in 2014 and no other wooden roller coaster has beat it out yet for the spot of worlds longest wooden coaster. Kings Island has made sure that the record stayed in the park.......For 34 years and counting.

I wasn't aware that Banshee's trains would each be a different color......I thought they would just be numbered 1, 2, and 3. ....But I have to admit.......A blue train, green train, and purple train will look very nice with the already unique colors of Banshee.

I'm glad to see all the mentions of Six Flags St. Louis....... .....Mostly because it is a great park, and I don't think it gets as much attention as it should. Although it may not have as many coasters as Kings Island, it does have a good lineup of rides. For any of you trying to think of another park to visit but are still trying to decide.....Try choosing Mid-America.....Six Flags Over Mid-America...... I'm very interested in participating in this event, getting to help children with life threatening illnesses and their families is always something special to be a part of. Helping sick children is something that is not necessarily addressed around the world like it should be, which is why I'm glad to see an event like this taking place. Count me in.

In 180 days, The New Kentucky Kingdom and Hurricane Bay will open for the 2014 season. ....Just thought I'd mention that......

.....High Roller.....

For many reasons, I believe that The Racer should be left as it is for the foreseeable future. Yes, minor off-season repairs are always done, but as far as a "restoration" goes......I don't really want to see The Racer take that direction because at that point....I'm afraid it will be turned into something it is not. For a wooden roller coaster, "restoration" is only a good thing sometimes, and other times not so much at all....

As mentioned by Don earlier today...... One year ago today the 218-foot lift hill on the Son of Beast roller coaster was brought down to complete the ride's demolition.
