Kings Island now has a number you can text to get updates and news from the park! (and they are "Promo" texts according to the park) (Cedar Point did this for Gatekeeper to make announcements on the rides construction)

Didn't Don say back a few months back in the "If you could ask Don one question..." topic that they were going to introduce something similar to the "5 at 5" this season?

As far as rides go, The absolute must-ride is The Beast! It is the lonest wooden roller coaster in the world and over 30 years later, he still rips through the trees as good as ever. Another great ride is Flight Deck, which is a classic suspended coaster that is one of the few of its kind still in operation. If you aren't afraid of heights, than Slingshot and Xtreme Skyflyer are also great. With food, I think the best places to go are Hanks Burrito Shack, The Festhaus, or the All-New Reds Hall of Fame Bar and Grill. For a snack, you could stop at Cinnabon, or at The Worlds Greatest Funnel Cakes. Welcome to KIC! And I hope your trip goes well!

I think that Scooby Doo/ Fairly Odd Coaster/ Beastie is an under-rated ride, It may not be very long, tall, fast, or thrilling, but there is still a good feel to it and it is definitly not as popular as it once was.

What I'm wondering about this construction is why the trees between the Thunder Alley space and SOB space haven't been cleared?.... ....Although when building The Beast, it was instructed to leave as many trees as possible, so maybe there is a reason for it?...

Adventure Express needs a paint job?... I do like the new paint on the entrance sign but the coaster itself needing paint?.....I don't think so...

Thats great to hear, but as Gordan said, Without the money and financing in place then those flags and markers mean almost completely nothing. Did you happen to get any pictures while you were around the property sscard01?

The footers ready to be poured behind Slingshot.....Not the same area as the others in the Thunder Alley space.

I would only call it significant if footers have been added outside TA's old lot. Then I will start thinking about maybe a coaster. There are already footers being poured outside Thunder Alley's old area....

Gatekeeper sure was visible last this morning! Just 6 days until Cedar Point opens and the guard of the gate can begin his protection of the gate.

Kings Island tickets are for sale at most Kroger stores as of the past few days and they are 31 dollars. I also have a season pass but when I pay for my families tickets, that is usually the best option besides Bring a Friend Day.

So 250 Coke Points for 1 ticket? Thats a good deal, But it wont help me because I alread have my season pass just like chugh43 ^
