  1. Yeah, different strokes for different Grand Folks. .... Nothing is off limits. <G> Too funny! Yes, it was a very tragic event. No, I didn't joke about it for about a week or two. Then, things were back to "abnormal".
  2. I think they should just cancel the entire HH altogether. There are way too many sensitive people in this world. Maybe you should all go to Camden Park and enjoy their "childlike" Halloween celebration since you obviously can't handle anything else. You know, my grandfather died three years ago from a stroke. I used to make jokes about strokes and still do. It's not in bad humor. You have to laugh about life. Otherwise, we'd all be on anti-depressants.
  3. And, had they decided to leave GL open for another season, Dominator and Thunderhawk were still moving away. I guess that would've left the Villain as the main attraction. At least I have a cool Villain hat as a souvie. And, two on-ride photos.
  4. I don't think necessarily that they are being ignored. The question is, do they have the attendance to justify a new attraction? When SFA just received something new in the last few years. Just because it's not a coaster or thrill ride, doesn't mean it does not count.
  5. Do you have any proof of any of this or are you just speculating? I'm gonna guess speculating. I think it would be known if TR's motor had exploded.

  7. Wow! That's pretty awesome!
  8. I read over at Coasterbuzz that there is a rumor has it that CF may be looking to sell off some of the land around KI. I have no clue and just wanted to pass this along.
  9. Except GL wasn't making money and SFKK is. Big difference.
  10. Delirium has a longer line, always.
  11. From what I have read, KD is also trying to come up with a name for Dominator.
  12. I'm going on Saturday, so I'll find out if I likes them or not.
  13. I really hope that people here are not for changing trains on The Beast or SOB and replacing them with Villain's trains. Those trains are horrible. Not a comfortable ride at all. The only cool part was the open front of the car.
  14. 1) No, I don't avoid Saturdays. The reason being is I am part-time and I only have weekends off, so I cannot afford to take a weekday off. 2)I'll say it again(SOB). When is a one hour wait considered bad? Most of the GP are smart enough to know that they will be waiting in lines all day. 3)The Beast does NOT need new trains. The ones in place are just fine. As Coach Bombay pointed out, the same trains (with modifications) are the same ones that have always been there. If they have lasted since the '70's, then they must be really well built.
  15. Yeah, don't see KI being sold. KI is sucessful, GL was not. Big difference.
  16. ^Exactly, SOB doesn't need a third train. Maybe as a spare, but not for regular use. The trains may indeed be on sight. That doesn't mean they are not on their way to somewhere else, as Interpreter pointed out.
  17. But, the thing is, SOB does not need to run a third train. The line is not that long and it wouldn't really increase capacity at all.
  18. I like Coke over Pepsi, but I prefer other Pepsi products to Coke, if that makes any sense.
  19. Why is waiting an hour or an hour and a half bad? If all that SOB gets is a 1-1/12 hour wait, you really can't do much better than that. And, they will not re-build yet another part of SOB just to put a block brake in for a third train, whomever suggested that idea. Besides that, I believe Coach Bombay when he says that there are no new trains on any wood coaster at KI being tested.
  20. You can't trust wikipedia or screamscape. From what I have heard, SFKK is profitable.
  21. I think Face/Off has valleyed before. I'm sure someone knows for sure on here.
  22. From what I understand, their plan will have them paid off in 2012. Something Jeff Putz over at Coasterbuzz has been saying. Take it for what it's worth.
  23. I can remember when the rotary phones were switching over. I can remember when we bought a touch tone phone. The line was still rotary, but the phone was touch tone. So, you could quickly dial a number, but you had to still listen to the clicking of the rotary dialing. And, I voted for texting. I'll take all texts please, if this comes to be.
  24. I will be getting there. Very soon. I think I'll go this Saturday night since I get paid this week. My Dad broke his arm at the roller rink there. Somehow, he fell and broke it. I used to go skating there all the time. Split time between there and Rollerama. I had heard that Camden's Haunted House was one of the only haunted attractions left that still use gravity to traverse the course. And, that it is nearly considered a coaster since it has a chain lift and all. Almost reminds you of a wild mouse coaster. It has hairpin turns and a good drop.
  25. I can't get over how good the Paratrooper and former "Rainbow" look since the paint jobs. And, the Haunted House too! When I was in grade school at Chesapeake, we took a yearly trip to CP at the end of the school year. Of course, those days you paid $5.50-$6.00 to get in. You also had the option of just paying $.50 to get in and buy tickets to ride. Great memories!
