    ^There was construction at GL?

^That's cool. It's just that over the last couple of years, you can never tell when it will be working. I noticed that CP's works almost all of the time. Maybe CF can correct the problem or maybe add more web cams to KI. Hopefully, we'll see future construction projects like CP does.

I knew of it. However, I wasn't sure if it is even working or not. Seems to be up and down all the time (pun intended).
  4. ^Agreed. Fact of the matter is, I rarely really "hear" the games people because I generally tune them out. This is the best option if you ask me.
  5. ^Something about one of the break fins was heavily damaged causing damage to the train itself. Someone else probably knows all of the details.
  6. What I would like to see: 1)Anything Intamin 2)Anything B&M 3)Anything with "Paramount" removed 4)Something added to Coney Mall. Could be a flat, could be a coaster. About the basketballs. They do annoy me a little, but, for the most part, they don't bother me until that person loses control of said ball. About the games. I agree that real "barking" should be used, not Banshee like screaming. Someone needs to train these people about proper distance of microphone to mouth. Some think it belongs inside the mouth, not near it. Although, like Interpreter, I would rather see all microphones done away with and use true Astroland style "barking" in its' place.
  7. Actually it was the First Stand-up Looping Coaster in North America. We don't count the Canadians.
  8. ^That would be awesome if members of PKIC were the first to ride it upon re-opening.
  9. ^I have not, but have considered it in the past. I think there's also BBQ grills at your disposal, if I'm not mistaken.
  10. Not sure if I'm correct, but I have heard somewhere that King Kobra was not the first stand-up coaster. Something about one was built before it over seas. Anyone heard this?
  11. I agree Interpreter. If you hate the site, then why come back. I don't see any hatred around here. Just disagreements and discussion. I don't detect any flaming going on.
  12. Hard to say. I love the launch of Dragster, but, I also like the inversions of Raptor. My favorite drop is The Vortex.
  13. It's all good. Sometimes, these threads get de-railed.
  14. Nope. I was just pointing out that the capacity of X flight is not an issue since there are several rides already there that have low capacity, Delirium being one of them. I guess you didn't read the whole thread.
  15. Possible, but in most cases, not likely. It usually goes the other way.
  16. Point was, the ppl/hr statistic is over-exaggerated on most parks' web sites. FOF is a perfect example. Delirium is most likely too. 1st Point: Delirium has low capacity 2nd Point: Parks' web sites generally over-state 3rd Point: If you don't believe point 2, then check out FOF's ppl/hr
  17. That's maXair, we are talking about Delirium. I know it's the same ride, but different crew. Look at the ppl/hr for Flight of Fear and then tell me that KI accomplishes that.
  18. I haven't seen this posted around here lately, but there are some new pics of the Mystery Mine Ride being installed at Dollywood. From the web site. Mystery Mine Ride Looks like construction is coming along nicely.
  19. Yes, that is correct. Magic Mountain is one of the ones that are possibly on the chopping block.
  20. Thank you. and yes the 600 estimate is called the "wishful letdown" I like to call it. a "wishful letdown" is as such, you estimate something kinda low... like an hourly capacity or a long line at a ride, if you say 1 hour wait, and its only 40 min, then you have had people expecting an hour wait, but they really got less, they were hopeful for that letdown, but got excited about the shorter. you can expect that capacity, but in fact it can become larger. That last part didnt come out the same. maXair v. Delirium... Hmm, which Giant Hussie Wins? totally maXair! That's not true at all. Most park web site over-estimate their riders per hour. So, if anything, it would be less than 600.
  21. You're saying that it has a higher capacity than what is projected? That usually is not the case. It is usually over-stated if anything. So, if it is projected at 600, then 450 is more like it. I thought it was kinda strange though, becuase on Huss' web site, it says 1,000 per hour and PKI's says 600.
  22. Just curious, but, when is 600ppl per hour considered high capacity?
  23. You may be on to something. I posted this news over at Coasterbuzz and someone stated that a little birdie told him that GCI was doing work on SOB.
  24. Yes! This is great news! Thanks Maureen!
  25. No more $20 million coasters? You think? Wow, this is a revelation that every enthusiast has been saying for years now. About time management caught up with the rest of the world.
