Well, first of all the park looked great. I loved the scenery and they did a great job putting everything together. My favorite had to be the display by Emporium. But I have to say I also loved all of the old Phontom Theater memoribiila they had "spread around" (the majority of it is in the same place, but be on the lookout nonetheless.) One other thing to keep in mind: I was by myself the whole day. Me and my dad are going tomorrow (Sunday).

Now, I like Halloween things but haven't been exactly notorius for going to haunted houses and things like that. So here's how it went down:

I only wanted to do three of the haunts: Red Beard's Revenge, Massacre Manor, and, of course, Club Blood. I also wanted to catch Dead Awakening.

So 7 PM rolls around and I'm sitting in the Festhaus watching the football game and it's really good. So, I have to admit I was a bit freightened to go out there, especially by myself because I knew I'd be a pretty easy target. And as soon as I set foot out of the Festhaus around 7:15 there's a guy banging on a bio hazzard can like a madman coming inches away from crashing into people. I liked it, but maybe only because I wasn't in the group he decided to target, they were walking the other way, towards Festhaus near Delerium. I knew the key to not being blindsided by a spook was to constantly watch my back and walk with a group of people, or in between two groups even if I could manage. I also figured that the spooks wouldn't go after certain people. People with strollers, the handicapped, etc. I may or may not have used that to my advantage.

So, anyways, I make my way to Coney Maul and to Massacre Manor. (I had scouted out precisely where everything was eariler that day.) Then I walk. And I walk. And then I walk some more, clear to Dodgems (bumper cars.) that's where the line was. Some guy who was not affiliated with the park came along saying it would be a three hour wait. I didn't know whether to trust that or not. I stood there for five minutes and then walked back inside the Festhaus to watch the rest of the game.

The game was practically over, so I figured I should make my way over to the theater to see Dead Awakening. I had high expectations that weren't exactly met, but I'd still give it a 6/7 out of 10. (By the way, it's not R-rated.) It wasn't too bad. That's the only Halloween Haunt attraction I ended up doing and then I went home after the show.

I don't know what I'm gonna do now...I may possibly go next Friday with my aunt since we can both go for free, but I've heard through the KIC grapevines that the Friday crowds are now starting to get ridiculous.

So then I start thinking about Bare Bones. According to KI's official website, mazes will be open along with select rides (and if I went for the mazes I wouldn't even care about the rides.) So I'm thinking... Ok.. go during the week. It will be a school night. Everything you want to do will be open. What could possibly go wrong? But I don't know for sure if everything I want to do will indeed be open, because of confusing language used on their official site. Maybe we'll find out more about it as it approaches. Either way, I'll probably end up going next Friday anyways but don't know if I'll get to do everything. I'd still like to see about going on a Bare Bones night, too.

I was at the park at opening time today. I did everything I wanted to do, ride wise. Didn't wait more than about 45 minutes for anything, but I skipped Firehawk, Racer, Recar, and Dodgems. I made a giant circle around the park, doing everything only once, then I ate at the Festhaus. I didn't venture into Rivertown after dark. Next time.

Ok ruffle my feathers a little here hun - I am in a wheelchair and trust me they do target me and others in wheelchairs as well. Those "spooks" are targeting everyone and should!! Do not go to a haunt without the expectation of getting scared because this year you will get it!! ha ha.

Wow you want a hot topic on dead awakening then check out the polls lol. WOW...

The Biohazzard guy - grimreaper - targets everyone!! He will come out of nowhere and when you least expect to see him. I was seeing something white dodging in and out of the crowd then suddenly he was right in front of me running right to me then took off. Scared me to death!! Or I will be watching that alien under the tower in Action Zone and suddenly some trash can is slamming behind me. He spends a bit of his time scaring the crap out of me!! The other night I saw him with his can just standing there. I went up to him and suddenly he opens that can and this THING pops out!! OMG I nearly lost it!!!

Now my secret - I LOVE TO GET SCARED and these "spooks" love to scare. The better the scare the harder I laugh afterwards!!

If you do not want a lot of scares - what are you doing at Halloween Haunt??

Oh they do have "safe" zones. Restrooms, restaurants, first aid but pretty much everything else is open hunting season for them. Picture it this way - this is spook hunting season and we are the game. This wheelchair lady has a huge target on my back and it is often hit!!

When I do see people that appear meek......fair warning....I will grab one of my buddies and point them out and watch the fun of seeing them run like the wind.

Another warning - there is the blue faced alien - well if he even senses a weakness it is not unusual for him to chase those easily frightened way out of Action Zone!!

Do not think you are safe in coney maul as they have wild and demented carney guys that come from out of no where sliding right up to you. Then you walk over to rivertown and there is another assortment of roaming spooks - beware the man with the fat lip or the bald guy with no hair. Then there is this warewold that is rather loud when you least espect it. He likes to see his victims turn white before attacking. Ohhh yea there is some green faced creeper that is often seen coming out of no where and chasing people or sliding after them and even crawling after their feet knowing he can weaking them that way.

Have a great time!!!

Oh no don't get me wrong. I love seeing the spooks and stuff like that. I think it's great and it's better than ever this year. I just don't know if I like being blindsided, although I'm sure at some point I will be, especially if I go back this Friday. I enjoy it very much and want to go back at least one more time.

I especially liked it when I just would hear random screaming from time to time around the Eiffel Tower Saturday night. That was a sure sign that a spook was near by, but that's really the only area I was around and it was while I was waiting for the gates to the theater to open for Dead Awakening.

Screaming by the tower hmmmmm???? Wondering if that is not possibly from my friend's haunt - The Cemetery??? Chris was a creeper last year and managing The Cemetery this year - seems to me there is an aweful lot of screaming going on in there....I know when I went through it we were all in a hurry to get out of it!! Those zombies were coming out of everywhere!!
