MSUBB1
Just wondering how wet you typically get on the three water rides (congo, thornberry, WWC) - specifically shoes. I've been on rides in the past that look like you get wet, but then you don't and also just the opposite. For example, stayed completely dry on Jurassic Park at Universal, but got completely soaked on Rip Saw Falls. I realize that WWC probably has the highest potential to get you soaked, but sometimes the rafts have compartments or bags on them to place your shoes - does this one? Thanks!! MarketingExpress
Congo - You get very wet WWC - You will get soaked Thornberry - Your shoes shouldn't get very wet at all. You get more wet from the elephant spraying you at the end then you do from the actuyal ride.
IheartKI
Congo- You won't get too wet, only if you stand on the bridge as your walking off the exit, or only if the cannon gets you after you go down the hill...but all in all, you won't get too wet. Thornberry- If you are in the back of the boat, as you are going up the hill, all the water in the boat runs to the back, and your feet get soaked. It's rather gross WWC- You get very wet, and sometimes drenched depending on the cannons getting you...
MSUBB1
Good point about the back of the boat - now I do remember coming off that type of ride dry but with completely soaked shoes! Can anyone confirm if there is bags or compartments on the actual WWC rafts to put shoes?
MarketingExpress
Can anyone confirm if there is bags or compartments on the actual WWC rafts to put shoes? Unless things have changed, I believe that there are no bags or pouches on the boats. And I believe that you need to be wearing some kind of shoe whether it be a sandal or gym shoe. iChase
Nothing's changed at all. You still have to leave all your stuff vulnerable at the station and let your shoes get soaked.
LongliveKingsCobra
all in all you would be better off just wearing Adidas type sandals, they are comfy and when they get wet they aren't soaked, and don't stay wet for long...
Jasper
Congo Falls-Me And my friend sit in the middle row middle seat and the only thing that got us wet was the annon and that didnt even get us that wet. Wild Thornberry's-The drop will give you a nice misting and duck at the elephant. White Water Canyon-Well the group i went with last time rode this about 7 times in a row non-stop and we got drenched. The only reason we were drenched though was because of our friend that did not ride was sitting up there with a maintenece guy taking free shots at us. But this is the ride that will soak you the most. But if you really want to get wet do Walthrough Bikini Bottom and you will get DRENCHED!! I think so because every time i go on it theres a bunch of basket balls on this stand and those huge wierd hats too. Along with various other items
BavarianBeatle
There are no compartments on WWC and shoes are required. Your shoes will get wet. AS for getting drenched, I've found Congo and WWC to be "hit and miss." Typically the cannons will hit one side of the raft and the other people will stay dry. Same with the cannons on Congo. The elephant on Wild Thornberry's will get you wet. But theres water in the bottom of the boats on that ride too.
I_heart_pki
White Water Canyon will get you wet for sure. On all the water rides though it is just a matter of luck as to how wet you get on any of the water rides. On WWC my friends shorts got a lil wet and I got SOAKED. It's really just a trick of right place right time or wrong place wrong time.
