Wisconsin Dells 2008: Gods and Oddities

Part 3 is up. Now, this has got to be my favorite segment of any of my trip videos I've done yet. This truly is the oddest thing I've ever seen. They don't tell much about the place in the marketing for it, so when you go through it, you have no idea of what to expect. Cheesy goodness for all.

A couple things. The "red button" segment she said there were two buttons to press, a green or a red one. She asked which button to press. I'm off in the other side of the room, filming some of the scenery, when this happens. Out of nowhere to them, my voice comes out "RED!" while I'm half paying attention. My thinking was this. Green buttons are boring. Sure, pressing the green button starts some cool things, but it's always the big red button that brings out the real show. I mean, think of MIB. That car got AWESOME when they pressed the red button. I can say for sure, the outcome of the red button was well worth it. And yes, me being the one with the big mouth, I was the one to press the red button.

The snail thing, you can hear in the video someone makes an S sound right after she asked what the prop was. I know she was going to say skull, but I decided to throw a kink into her speil, and see how she would react to something not expected. Forget saying "alien", I went with something totally random, and the S stuck in my head, so I got "snail". I think she enjoyed my witty remarks throughout our tour.

Finally, at one point you can hear a woman shouting "Get the camera guy! He has a camera!" What that was, is we were heading into a pitch black pathway. No light whatsoever. Of course, they had things hanging from the wall and everything. I assume while I was filming, one of the girls walked into a hanging object, and screamed (you can hear a scream on the video). They didn't want to go through first, so this lady volunteers me to walk through it, holding my camera up so we could use the light from the camera. Now that I think about it, I should have turned the camera off on them, and gone into Halloween Haunt mode.

A very odd experience, but fun as hell. Not sure if it's worth the 12 dollars for a half an hour of that, but still something that was enjoyable.
