Hey, first post. Well, technically, it's my second post. (Ha)

Just thought I'd add a little contribution to the forum.

9/26

Been waiting all year and it was finally here, Halloween Haunt! Of course, I HAD to go the night it opened. I was mostly excited to check out Urgent Scare but just excited to be there at all. I went with a fairly decent sized group and we didn't end up getting to the park until after 8. Surprisingly, it wasn't that crowded at all. We really wanted to ride Son of Beast but for some reason went to Delirium first. I remember one of my friends saying SOB was closed but I honestly don't remember? Anyways, the wait for Delirium was only about 15 minutes so not bad at all. After that quick but fun ride we decided to go to Drop Zone, excuse me, Drop Tower. I personally am not too fond of Drop Tower. I'll admit it feels really cool going down but even after riding it a million times I still get the creeps going up ha ha. I guess that sounds a bit hypocritical of me to not want to ride Drop Tower because it's a bit frightening but I am going to HH to get SCARED. Hmm.. I confuse myself sometimes. But anyways, Drop Tower was a walk on ride and was actually really fun. A bit spooky, not gonna lie, but still fun and it's always better at night time. So I voiced my opinion that it was time for some haunted stuff. There were quite a few roamers at the front gate when we entered as well as scattered all over Action Zone. (Gotta wonder about the fish monster, though lol.)

So, we went back to Urgent Scare. I heard the siren and it got me pretty pumped. There were a few groups of people outside of the entrance right under the big Urgent Scare sign so we went and stood behind them thinking we had a long wait ahead of us. But, then they informed us they weren't in line with a bit of an attitude. Gee, sure does seem like the smart thing to do to stand right in front of the entrance blocking people from going in but then look at us like we're stupid when we wait behind them. I don't get people, but anyways, we made our way in. I don't want to ruin anything but I did get a little confused at first and did think we were just walking right on into the maze ha ha but then we discovered the lines and such. Man, it looked like they had already evacuated town if you get my drift. The line was so short.. we walked almost all the way to the front. Really nice job, KI. I love that they have the scareactors waiting in line for this one and it's set up so nice. I did get a little tired of the megaphone but it was all in good fun ha ha. I usually don't get scared but I'm not going to lie, I didn't know what to expect. Really really enjoyed it. It's a great addition to HH, I must say. It's nice and long and VERY gory.

After this, we decided to ride Vortex since it was right there at the exit of Urgent Scare. If I remember correctly, it was only a 10-15 min wait at most. LOVE this ride at night. We then decided to go check out the Trail of Terror. Man, this is THE hangout for the annoying people. I swear there were so many douchebags in line I wanted to die. But, the line was fairly short, so that was a plus. But, they were sending the groups in so fast, the group behind us caught up really fast. They were right behind us and were making comments like "Hey I wanna get scared too!" because the monsters were jumping out trying to get us and they saw it happen. Seriously, don't give us **** because you caught up so quickly. We weren't walking slow either, so they had no reason to ***** at us. Excuse the language. Anyways, I must say the Trail was ruined for me because of the annoying people behind us. Nice job to everyone working the trail but I couldn't enjoy it with the assholes behind us.

We then headed to Firehawk. It was the shortest wait I've ever had to wait for it and was pretty fun ride. We went to Flight of Fear next and waited about 10 minutes. That ride never gets old. I believe we went to Death Row after this. This had an EXTREMELY short line which I found kinda hard to believe as it's usually very long. Nearly walked right in for this one. Love the guy working at the entrance, he always makes me laugh. Some reason I always get stuck with a few people in front of me that I don't know so I find it awkward to put my hands on their shoulders. So, of course he separates us ha but it's okay because that's how I wanted it. (We didn't know the people in front of us) But, I'm not sure if it's set up differently this year but I got lost like 5 times! Ha, it's really good this year. Probably my favorite maze at HH... At one point I pulled back this curtain because I was lost and one of the scareactors was just sitting down I guess taking a break ha ha.. so funny. (If you're reading this, sorry about blowing your cover ha ha)

After that we were all pretty excited to go ride The Beast. We basically walked right onto the ride and it was a very good one I must say. LOVEEEEEEEEEEEEE The Beast. We were there so we decided to ride The Crypt. Eh, not really a fan of this one. I hadn't ridden it since all of the TR stuff was gone and it made the ride seem really different. I don't know, wasn't very enjoyable and actually made me feel a bit ill lol. So after this we went to Tombstone Terrortory and the train showed up only a few seconds after we walked into the gates. (lucky us) We only had to wait about 5 minutes for this one and it was pretty enjoyable. We were the last group to go in so it was kinda spooky knowing there was nothing behind us besides the scareactors.

End of the night for us, a very good trip though.

SOOOOO, I made plans with a different set of friends to go the next Friday:

10/3

We probably got to the park about 8:00 or so this time around. We walked in and there were TONS of roamers up front. It was really cool to see so many of them. My friend went to the bathroom and we decided to check out Club Blood. We only had to wait about 10 minutes for this one. I really enjoyed this one like a million times better than last year. I jumped a ton in this one! I usually don't tend to jump but man they kept on getting me. Props to the girl at the entrance as well, she was pretty funny. I did make her laugh though at one point though, ha. She seemed pretty cute though, not going to lie.

After Club Blood, we went to go check out Urgent Scare's line. It was already backed up outside of the main Urgent Scare sign. Too long of a line for us, so we went to the Trail of Terror. What did I tell you about the annoying people at Trail of Terror? This time it was a huge group of young teenagers in front of us in line. Good lord, it was like the whole 7th grade took a field trip to the Trail of Terror. They were SO obnoxious ... Luckily when we got closer to the front they asked if anyone had a group of 4 and we did so we got to by pass the annoying kids and go on into the trail.

WELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL, I don't know how they did it. But somehow the kids ended up right behind us and caught up with us pretty quickly. We also had caught up with the group in front of us but we didn't mind. But, once again, the trail was ruined for me because the kids had smart remark after smart remark. (Including, and I kid you not, "Don't you have anything better to do on a Friday night then scare little kids? Get a REAL job!")

I wanted to die. But, god bless the chainsaw. Scared the **** out of em'.

Went and rode The Vortex - 15 minute wait.

I'm thinking we went to Adventure Express after this. We walked right onto it and stayed on for a second ride because there was no line. I love AE. Lol.

I want to say we went to Delirium next. We rode it at some point during the night and it was only a 15 min wait or so. Always fun.

CarnEvil was up next. It never scares me, but I love the hell out of it. This one had about a 30 minute wait or so but was worth it. It actually seemed a bit longer this time, but it may not be.

Went and caught a ride on Italian Job (Backlot something or another?) and quite enjoyed that.

Finally, and lastly, we went with some other friends we met up with to Death Row. I somehow got us lost in there AGAIN... multiple times. Ha ha, serious props to everyone involved in that one . . . I can't get enough.

So, both times I had a ton of fun. I'm going back NEXT Friday (24th?) and I'm expecting it to be a lot more crowded. I really want to check out the mazes I have yet to go through this year. (Massacre Manor & Rebeard's Revenge) And also need to go through the Fear zones. I saw they moved CornStalkers when I was going to Drop Tower. I forgot to mention I saw a girl crying coming out of there and of course the they got her again at the very exit. I laughed so loud and she looked at me and I felt kinda bad, but it was hilarious.

No more fear zones! There are only indoor and outdoor mazes. Though Urgent Scare is like a mix. Nice report! I totally agree with out about the little kids/teens. It's like, do parents really let their kids stay out at a theme park until 1AM by themselves? GRRR.

So what are you trying to say about the fish monster? Haha.

That I absolutely love it. ;)

And I could've sworn it still had "Fear Zones" on their websites but I checked and you're definitely right. So does this mean that The Cemetery, The Worksite, & Corn Stalkers are all longer to be on par with the other mazes? Or are they still the same length?

Thanks!

Well, the "fish monster" is still in the park, but you may notice some changes with it. Mainly the only thing that is the same is how it looks.

If you loved the fish in Coney the first 3 days of Haunt, you'll also love the vampire in Action Zone for the rest of Haunt.

What exactly is the audition process like for HH? I'd love to do it.

Vortex is the worst for that. You can never tell if the people are getting in line or just milling around talking to the people sitting on that wall...

Dragster and Millie were the worst for that at CP. It happened a few times on Maggie and Twister too. Groups of people would walk ALMOST to the entrance and suddenly someone would say "I don't know if I want to ride this" so they would just stand there like what are we going to do.

I know darn well I'm riding it, I'm not going to stand behind you for 20 minutes while you and your friends debate about who's riding and who's not. I'm going around you and getting in line.
