Rollercoast19
After our (my brother and I) first amazing trip to Halloween Haunt the week before, we had to visit again. This time to visit the mazes we ran out of time to experience. So we entered the park at 7:00 p.m. (I thought Kings Island cleared out the park at 5, but I noticed all the rides running when we entered the parking lot). The front area was full of people and roamers. They were doing a great job of making the girls scream and jump. The park had an amazing atmosphere again! We decided to hit CarnEVIL first since we remembered that it had a long line last week. We entered the line at the area between the International Showplace and Chick-fil-a. As we neared the entrance to CarnEVIL I noticed that they made guests wear 3-D glasses. I thought to myself, “Why would they give us 3-D glasses? Neon won’t stand out because of 3-D glasses.” Boy was I wrong. After an hour wait we entered CarnEVIL. I was so surprised how much the neon stood out with the 3-D glasses. My brother and I were spooked and jumped several times in this maze. I really enjoyed all the different rooms and the very end! A great maze and worth the wait! We then headed over to try Cemetery Drive. We found the line near the Carousel and figured out that the line snaked around the whole circumference of the ride. After another long wait we entered Cemetery Drive. The scare actors who pretended to be statues were amazing!! My brother and I both let out a “Whoa!” (and not like a Joey Lawrence “Whoa!”) when we saw the first one. I have a question. When the scare actors talk or ask a question, do you want us to answer back or say something? I was never sure what to do. Well, after getting lost several times my brother was spooked good near the end. Another great maze! After walking through thick fog at the exit of Cemetery Drive, we walked over to Urgent Scare. We entered the line right in front of the arcade building. That’s right, the line was that long. They did have two scare actors go up and down the (outside part) of the line. So that helped pass the time. When we got near the Urgent Scare sign we enjoyed watching the scare actors getting guests to scream and run coming out of the exit. Once we walked underneath the sign (which I consider the entrance to Urgent Scare) we met the woman with the metal trash can lid and crowbar. I would actually have to say the girl in front of us got to meet her. She and the guy in the blue fire department shirt teamed up on her. It was hilarious. I thought the area in front of Urgent Scare felt like a different world. Very well done! So, we finally got inside Urgent Scare and my brother and I were at the front of the group. This is the best maze at Halloween Haunt hands down. It was well worth the two hour wait!! My brother and I jumped so many times that I had a hard time admiring the scenes because I was franticly looking around so I wouldn’t be scared again. I loved the exit path and I loved the length of this maze. Excellent job Kings Island and scare actors!!! I suggest everyone check this one out!! (I don’t remember going through any elevator feature that people have talked about on here) We then headed over to Trail of Terror. The line took about 45 minutes to get to the entrance. (Which it seemed longer since we were behind a group of girls who obviously were in their school’s choir because they kept on singing Christmas songs. This brought back some embarrassing moments when I was in school, lol.) Our group to go through Trail of Terror consisted of those girls and us in the back. I loved walking through the woods! Very spooky. I noticed a scare actor banging on a tube to scare us (not until I woke up the next day did I question,”Weren’t we suppose to crawl through that tube?” Am I right about that?) I loved the toilet feature and was completely surprised about it. I thought the rest was good, but it was hard to enjoy with the girls singing throughout the maze. The guy with the chainsaw got a lot of the girls to run out of the exit! We then hit up Death Row. The line was very short (about a 5-10 minute wait). I enjoyed the guy in the front. Now, I thought this maze was very disorienting because of the strobe lights and sounds. However, there weren’t many chances to be spooked. The group in front of us kept on getting lost and a person in front of them lost an item. That person was trying to get the scare actors to help her find what she lost and they did the best they could. So that slowed down everything. We finally exited the maze and felt a little disappointed. After we left Death Row we had about 20 minutes to 1 a.m. We had to decide if we wanted to do Massacre Manor or Tombstone Terror-tory. We chose Tombstone Terror-tory because we figured it would have a shorter line. We only had a one train wait. So good decision! When we got on the train the people behind us obviously had no idea how this maze worked. The woman directly behind me was asking her group if this had any dips. I had a little smirk on my face when I heard that knowing that she no clue what was ahead of her. When the train “breaks down” our whole car had no idea what was going on. When they tell you to get off, my brother and I were the only ones to stand up. On to the maze we walked. My brother and I were first again in this group. I just love this maze. One time I jumped up pretty high thinking a scare actor was going to take out my feet with a chain. Then near the last tunnel a woman scare actress got me real good. I wasn’t paying attention and she jumped out at me and scared me to death. I jumped so far that I almost hit the fence. Great job!!! I love going through the last tunnel with all the fog. Still gets my heart pumping in anticipation every time. We excited with no further incidents, but still another great experience through Tombstone Terror-tory! We headed out of the park since it was past 1 a.m. I noticed something when I was walking through Tombstone Terror-tory. I now want to be spooked. I get jealous when I am in the back of the group and I see the people in the front get spooked. Before I went to Halloween Haunt I hated being spooked. Now I have completely changed. I compare the thrill of getting spooked to cresting the top of a lift hill. Another great job Kings Island and all the scare actors and roamers!! Wolf Like Me
Nice report! Those long lines don't sound too great but I'm glad you had a good time. Check out my trip report and you'll see that I've come to the conclusion that the Trail of Terror is the hot spot for the annoying people to hang out. I literally laughed when I read the part about the girls singing because I've had way too many similar experiences waiting for that one. When the trail has a line longer than 45 minutes, which it did on saturday, they do a conga line. And in order for the conga to continue, no one can go through the tunnel because it will get backed up. Sucks but that is what has to happen

I guess I need to go again when it has a shorter line.
gigacoaster2k
This past weekend at Cedar Point, I got the glory of walking through Cornstalkers just as it was starting. It was very disorienting, you couldn't see anything through the fog. One of the monsters jumped directly in front of me and I literally jumped and screamed, something I rarely do. It happened a few more times. I thought I was going to have a mild coronary. Haunts are starting to grow on me. That's the second one that's made me jump out of my skin.
