courtney
From March 17th to the 22nd, our school's band and choir went to Disney World for clinics, performances and to have fun. We left the 17th around 3:30PM and arrived in Florida around 8AM the next day. We then found breakfast and them traveled to the hotel we were staying at to change and freshen up (rest areas and Mcdonald bathrooms are not enough haha). However, our last rest stop prior to the hotel, some people decided to change in the bathrooms. Then around 1:30PM, we arrived at Hollywood Studios. I'm just going to list what was ridden. Most of the food I had while in the park was chicken and fries. Or I think that was all I ate while in the parks. Rock 'n Roller Coaster: 1 Twilight Zone Tower of Terror: 1 Great Movie Ride: 1 Also our group saw Lights, Motors, Action! once and played on the Honey, I Shrunk the Kids movie set adventure. Then we watched Fantasmic! to end the night. The next day involved our clinics and Epcot. For the 19th, the first thing to do was the band clinic which took around 3 hours, I think? Afterwards, we arrived at Epcot with enough time to eat before the choir clinic from 1:30-4ish. Maelstorm: 1 Boat: 1 (I don't remember the name) To end the day, we watched Illuminations. Next day we performed and went to Magic Kingdom. The 20h was spent in Magic Kingdom. The band met up around 1:30 to get ready for the parade. It was good. Then later in the day, the choir got around to perform. It was really fun. This day, I bought Minnie ears (they were pink) and a pair of pirate Mickey ears. Space Mountain: 1 Haunted Mansion: 1 Pirates of the Carribean: 1 It's a Small World: 1 Later in the night, there was a parade before Spectromagic, which we watched those two. We also watched Wishes. The 21st was our final day at Disney, spent in Animal Kingdom. Primeval Whirl: 1 Dinosaur: 1 Expedition Everest: 1 (we had Fastpass for this) Kilimanjaro Safaris: 1 I do remember that we wanted to watch something (I think Festival of the Lion King?) but it was full. Around 4, we met up at the front to get a whole group picture before we headed off to Downtown Disney and Planet Hollywood to eat. Planet Hollywood was reall cool. I was amazed by the decoration and the props inside. I probably had something chicken, but forget. After we ate, we had until 10 to shop around Downtown Disney. I bought a Planet Hollywood tank top, some cards, a cd and a shirt from the Virgin megastore. Then we left to head back home, which we arrived back around 6PM on the 22nd. Overall, I enjoyed the trip to Disney a lot. However, when I got home, I ate spaghetti and loved it! Well, that's all from my first trip report on here. Thrill_Biscuit
Nice trip report. Sixteen and a half hours on the road is quite a long trip! Is the "It's a Small World Afterall" song still stuck in your head? WDW really has an awesome array of parks and attractions. Nice TR. courtney
When I think of "It's a Small World", then I remember the song. I do remember that one of the girls in our group chose to prank call one of the chaporones and say we were stuck on the ride. The time on the road was not fun, especially Monday night-Tuesday morning. I kept waking up pretty much every hour, no joke.
