Boomerang Bay vs. Splashin Safari?

Featured Replies

Have never been to Kings Island, how does their water park compare to Holiday World's? Are most of the slides body slides or tube slides?

Holiday World's is much much better than Ki's.

At KI it close to 50/50 on the body slides and tube slides, maybe more body slides

Splashin Safari blows Boomerang Bay out of the water... BB has a good mix of body and raft slides. It is very spread out and hilly, so be prepared for a lot of walking. Im not a big fan of BB though... Although the Awesome Aussie Twister is pretty sweet!

Also make sure your swim pants dont have any metal on them... because you will not be able to ride any of the body slides.

definently perfer the tube slides, dont really care much for body slides. thanks for responses!

Hands down Splashin Safari, I can not compare the two. SS has a lot newer slides.

I only do tube slides (I don't like the wedgie or 'slide burn' associated with body slides) and I LOVED Splashin' Safari. Lots of variety in tube slides, two great wave pools, two lazy rivers ... overall, a wonderful water park!!

Comparing Splashin' Safari to Boomerang Bay is like comparing a Cadillac to a Big Wheels. Splashin' Safari is an incredible water park, and Boomerang Bay is a collection of mildly entertaining water based attractions. Not to mention that Holiday World also has 3 amazing wooden roller coasters, free drinks, free sunscreen, friendly staff and low admission price.

Bahari is such a fun wave pool. It isn't just another wave pool - its like being in the ocean during a storm or something. Jungle Racer is so much fun. It's hard to not ride it several times in a row. Zoombabwe is probably the most fun I have ever had on a water attraction. It is so long and disorienting. Their Zinga is better than our Tazmanian Typhoon by a lot. Otorongo beats the heck out of the Sidney Sidewinder. I've never even been on Bakuli but it looks great. And the water coaster they are getting next year is going to be a whole new level of awesome that nobody has ever experienced.

Also the Splashin Safari height requirements are less than than BB. This allows more rides as a family for those with sub 48" kids.

The only advantage of BB is that they have more varied little kids areas.
