One thing pki is ahead of cp in is bug control. I want to know if anyone else has experienced these bugs at cp and tell me how annoying they were. They took away so much from the park's atmosphere. Cedar Point may have rollercoasters but Kings Island doesn't have annoying bugs. laugh.gif

I went to CP last year and we stayed in Sandcastle or whatever. The place was COVERED with bugs. Everywhere I went were the bugs. Even inside the hotel was them bugs. They really didn't bother me because they just sat there and clung to the walls. I just got back from Cedar Point the 12th, and there wasnt one of them bugs in sight?! So Im not sure what it depends on if they are there or not.

I've never been a big CP fan. In the 80's we used to go to the Music in the Park festival with my highschool band. I think I've been to CP 5 times and to KI 25 times (I went once a year for the first 20 years) and one thing about KI was how clean it was (well the pond under the Screamin Demon was icky during the hot months) and how many trees it had.

My biggest memory of CP was seeing my best friend Liz at CP and I didn't even know she was going to be there (hey we went to school in a town with a population of 326 so it was a big deal). My second biggest memory was how dirty CP was. I'm thinking this was in 1983 or 84. My mom said we wouldn't waste our money coming back.

When I went to CP in the early 90s it was so much nicer and KI had gone downhill a lot.

Were KI and CP owned by the same company for a few years? I seem to remember someone telling me that years ago.

I don't remember any bugs at KI except for the bees in the trash cans.

DO you remember the carp near the Sreamin Demon? Those things were HUGE! I bet they were put there for bug controll but you have to wonder if they even tried to eat bugs after all the food they were tossed .
