Crispy1979 Posted July 29, 2003 Posted July 29, 2003 Thanks. The reason I was asking is that I rode Beast last year (I have not yet been to the park this year) and did not notice a difference. When I rode last year, they had already changed from the old fashion friction breaking at the end to the new breaks, so I'm guessing the magnetic trims were added at the same time. I didn't notice a change, but I only get to visit the park once or twice a year. I'm sure the difference is more noticeable to someone who regularly attends the park. Cris Quote
coasterfreak75 Posted August 1, 2003 Author Posted August 1, 2003 The reason I left this post in the first place was that I went to the unlimitedrollercoaster.com outing at PKI a few years back and we were supposed to have ERT on SOB but that was when it was up and down. It never opened that day so Jeffery Seifert and crew moved out ERT to The Beast. That night it seemed like they had either reduced the trims or cut them off completly once your were past the first drop. It definetly ranked as some of the best rides I'd ever had. When I rode it with the new trims it was almost the same experience. To me it runs faster with the new trims than it did with the old friction tims. All I can really say is thank you PKI for makeing a great ride great and helping save it for future generations. Quote
Shaggy Posted August 1, 2003 Posted August 1, 2003 (edited) "It never opened that day so Jeffery Seifert and crew moved out ERT to The Beast. " It's Siebert, not Seifert. Jeffrey Siefert is the ACE Secretary and has no affiliation with PKI. Shaggy Edited January 1, 1970 by Shaggy Quote
