PREMiERdrum
Given what VIACOM has been asking for theme park licensing in North America, I'd be stunned if Q was willing to pay...VIACOM may well have its own plans for parks in North America again... And there very well could be some parks for sale soon
alluna
I think the point CedarPointer was making was that that quote doesn't quite match the 5@5 answer for a similar question a few days ago! Q: Rain Blanken - Any tips on how to get kids excited about the new Planet Snoopy area? A: You know, Rain, it's interesting. You hear some people claim that kids today don't know who Snoopy is but then when you take him out for an appearance, not only do kids know who Snoopy is, they also know who his friends are (Charlie Brown, Linus, Lucy, Woodstock). Many of the kids Snoopy meets also seem to be aware and excited about the all-new Planet Snoopy kids' area at the park. Sure, there may be some kids that don't know who Snoopy is but most of them do based on what we've seen the past couple weeks when Snoopy has been out in the community. For the record, I find Mr. Scheid's statement to be more honest...but of course everyone here knows that I am biased against Snoopy coming. When I asked this, I was really looking for something like the Snoopy visits to schools to mention in an article. I'm kind of snickering to myself that the answer here was so dodgy and terrible when, all along, they know that kids are unfamiliar with Snoopy. It would have been in their better interest to actually suggest some tips instead of being in denial. Now I'm not interested in writing the article any more and they can promote Snoopy on their own. ...so nyah.

Something tells me that, if they do, they will be quite different than the former Paramount Parks. And there are certain rides I feel almost certain wouldn't make a comeback. At least, not in the same form they were found in back then... And there very well could be some parks for sale soon While I, of course, would be overjoyed to see Paramount return (notice, PARAMOUNT, not, CBS), I don't think it would happen. But imagine the reaction from the public if Flight Deck was renamed Top Gun, or The Crypt into Tomb Raider? Even if nothing changed about the physical ride experience except the re-implementation of the Tomb Raider soundtrack or "Danger Zone" in the queue, folks just have name recognition with those series or at the very least, those ride.
