New park map

Featured Replies

well since Boomerang Bay is coming i was wondering if they will redo the park map for boomerang bay with a new look for the park map

If you mean, completely change the type of cartoonish look... I'm sure it'll probably still look the same. Otherwise, of course the map will change to say BB instead of WW and it will have the new slides and everything and probably be a much larger scale drawing than it used to be. Probably so much larger that it will look half as big as the rest of the park. Then a year later or so it'll probably shrink back down some.

If it is like anyother PKI map the new attractions (BB) will be at least a quarter of the map. And of coarse, all of the slides will stand as tall, if not taller, than Drop Zone on the map. That's just how they do it. Emphisize the new ride(s) is there motto!

I don`t know if they`ll be that large. Delirium and Scooby were not that large on the 2003 maps. They did have a box above the map that contained there logos and blurb about them. As far as different maps, they produce many different maps throughout the year, to include various events, shows, FearFest, and special season pass pricing.

They may change the way the map looks - like whether it looks hand-drawn-cartoonish, or like it was all done on a computer with symbols and general colors. PKI's maps from the late 90s used to be like that - kinda looked too professional and serious. Then again, they do want to provoke positive and enlightening feelings from map viewers, so they may stick with the cartoon deal.

And yes, they probably will make some of the slides look taller than DZ and longer than SOB. The people who design those maps get paid to figure out what makes people look at certain parts of a map. It's marketing, and it works.
