WinterFest at the Beach?

Featured Replies

I was considering plotting some family fun and this holiday eent at the Beach is all over the radio right now. Has anyone gone? Is it a hit or a miss? If I missed a PTR on it here, my apologies.

Have a great one,

Use the "search" function because there are various PTR for this event and one faitfull sinking of the S.S. Gator

Ah yes, the TR that will live in infamy. The sinking of the S.S. Gator! You can find that here: http://www.KICentral...ndpost&p=261306

Despite the bad experience we had there in 2008, they took care of us with comp tickets which we used during the summer of 2009, and we did make a return to their winter event last year (in large part because they got rid of the pedalboats). We went on New Year's Eve and had a wonderful time. They had a ball drop where the dropped a bunch of beach balls from a crane a few hours before midnight (so the kids didn't have to stay up past their bedtime), we skated, rode the toboggan slide several times, GatorGirl loved the petting zoo area and the pony rides, and we did the carriage ride.

It's nowhere on the scale of Winterfest at KI, and I like Festival of Lights at the Cincinnati Zoo better, but it's a nice little event. We had been there in years past without incident, so I think I can say 2008 was a fluke. We might be going again on New Year's Eve this year, but we don't know for sure yet.
