DragonLord
Well, from someone who knows... here you go: Our Park Police officers are full fledged police officers. They have all the rights and privlages of any police officer as long as they are on park property. They must go through the same training as all other police officers and they are deputized by the city of Mason. Kings Island is in the city of Mason, Warren County, State of Ohio, therefore all of those agencies have jursidiction on the park as well. We do, on occasion, ask for assitance for those different departpartments. Sometimes you can see County units or the Mason PD walking around the Theme Park or patroling the parking lots.
SOB/Gun Steve-O
Two stupid posts on the same day. I take offense at that. The only stuff I am spitting out here is stuff I learned at PKI training, and in my experience in the parking lot. I worked with several of the PKI officers personally when I was in the parking lot, we still do occasionally in ride ops with line jumpers and such. So don't come on here and act like I don't know what the heck I'm talking about!! DragonLord would probably know a little better than I would, though. He is still in security. Tanner
If those posts were directed to you, sure you could take offense to them. Perhaps you should read all the posts rather than reading one and jumping to conclusions?
SOB/Gun Steve-O
2 stupid posts on the same day - there were only 2 posts that day, and I had one of them. I don't see that as jumping to conculsions.

DragonLord
Odds are whatever happened no one is supposed to talk about. He could have been being nice and taking people to their car or something (although I doubt it).
Beastfreak
Someone was nice last week. Drove two associates from the waterpark to HR/employee parking.
goodtimes
The other day I saw some guys walking down IS carrying guns with a badge and cuffs, but they were in plain clothes! I think PKI has a huge undercover police operation as well as regular cops in uniform, they even have an unmarked police car, a grey intrepid you can see driving in the lot sometimes, it has two small red and blue flashing lites on the dash if you look close. I asked a buddy whos in security about these people and he said he's not allowed to tell me who they are cuz hed get fired. They are probably like a decoy squad or something that goes undercover to catch people doin stuff....the security dept sure is secretive. wanna_be_03
DragonLord might think he knows.....but he has no idea. Haha ok all joking aside, heres the skinny on these "park police" guys: I was talking about this to my friends dad who works with the homeland security dept as a consulant or something. He said that really they are employed by some federal agency as experts on counter- terrorism that got hired the season after 9-11. Apparently there are some of these agents at all major theme parks and these "black shirts" are more than likely them.

morganff102
You guys are silly. There are no anti-terrorism cops at PKI or at least that I know of. Like it's already been stated again, and again, the guys you see wearing the Black shirts, with the 7-point deputy sheriff badges that says "Park Police" on it are PKI park police officers and have arresting (ie. meaning they can arrest for any violation of the Ohio Revised Code) powers on park property. They are properly trained and certified just like any other police officer, that's why they carry guns, mace, asp, handcuffs etc. I think even some of them might be police officers in other towns that they live in. Now as for other police agencies. Again, as stated before , PKI does fall within the boundaries of the City of Mason, and Warren County. So yes PKI is within both of their jurisdictions. So if something serious is going on, you might plan to seen those people at PKI. And Deerfield Twp PD and Warren County Sheriff is the same thing. I do believe as well that there is at least always 1 Mason police officer at PKI during hours of operation. As for OSP (Ohio State Patrol) not sure why they'd be there. *shrugs* From what I gather they only have authority on state property. And as for the "plain clothed" officers. Just sit and think a minute on why there would be Park Police officers in plain clothes. Eventually, you might figure it out. Key word "might." wanna_be_03
How the heck would any of you guys know about it? I heard from a credible source thats what they were anit- terrorist specialists. morganff102
My source is credible as well. Mine probably more due to the fact that it comes from a source that should know, since it is their job to know.
