carpetarson Posted June 24, 2004 Posted June 24, 2004 I am going to be visting boomarang bay on friday and i was wondering if there is any need to rent a locker, or is there just a place to lay my stuff down. If i do need to rent a locker are there any in the bay? Quote
dxrunner Posted June 24, 2004 Posted June 24, 2004 You can rent a locker but each time I have visited BB so far this year I have just layed my things down under a tent were the benches and chairs are and nobody messed with my stuff. It depends on if you care if your stuff gets taken Quote
carpetarson Posted June 24, 2004 Author Posted June 24, 2004 alright, well thanks the most ill have on me is prolly some money for food. not really worried about my stuff getten stolen just wanted to know ahead of time. Quote
DA RIPPER Posted June 24, 2004 Posted June 24, 2004 I'll warn you now fridays and weekends are packed. and it's hard to be able to keep and eye on your stuff and i had my stuff stolen laying it under a chair. I now chain my bag to a chair with a combanation lock. when my stuff was stolen the security guard said there was teens working together one would watch you walk away while another would take your stuff they keep incontact with cell phones. keep your money locked in your car until your ready to get something to eat or buy something esle. dxrunner Posted June 25, 2004 Posted June 25, 2004 Wow an organized crime gang of punk kids, thats pathetic. Whats this world coming to? Quote
Metal Metor 200WP MAN Posted June 25, 2004 Posted June 25, 2004 Yes, I would suggest renting a locker. It would be cheaper then replacing your items. Plus, why take the chance? But if not, don't have a bookbag, it's easy picking for theives. Quote
TraderJake Posted June 25, 2004 Posted June 25, 2004 My advise is that should you not rent a locker, be careful of where you put your stuff, as there is a high probability that things could be stolen. At the same time however, if you rent a locker keep an eye on your key, the same people who steal from guest's bags love to take the people's keys at any chance they get. Don't take your eyes off of your locker key, for that one instant that you do your key will be taken, and then to retrieve your stuff you would have to go through the pleasure of meeting me. Quote
morganff102 Posted June 25, 2004 Posted June 25, 2004 Just FYI for you folks, these "kids" as they are being called, might only be going for cash, so if you can keep you cash load down if ur leaving ur stuff unattended. The reason cash is a target is because who's to say who's money that is. Quote
coasterbilly Posted June 25, 2004 Posted June 25, 2004 yeah rent the locker, it isn't that expensive, and it keeps your things safe, my friend had his clothes and 50 bucks stolen last year @ DP because he didn't keep things in a locker. Quote
MovieGoddess9704 Posted June 25, 2004 Posted June 25, 2004 if all you have is a towels and sunblock and sandals, then I wouldn't get a locker, but if you have other things then get a locker. Don't the lockers have keys on them that have little ropes on them to attach to your wrist? I would think that BB would switch to the type of lockers that are outside TRTR, the ones where you are giving a pin code to type in when you want to retrieve your stuff. Quote
coasterbilly Posted June 25, 2004 Posted June 25, 2004 yeah that's a good idea, then you don't have to worry about losing the key, plus what you said is right, as long you have nothing extremely valueable, don't bother with the locker. Quote
Tanner Posted June 25, 2004 Posted June 25, 2004 I would think that BB would switch to the type of lockers that are outside TRTR, the ones where you are giving a pin code to type in when you want to retrieve your stuff. And then when the morons forget the code? Quote
TraderJake Posted June 26, 2004 Posted June 26, 2004 I would think that BB would switch to the type of lockers that are outside TRTR, the ones where you are giving a pin code to type in when you want to retrieve your stuff. I think I speak for everyone in my management team when I say Please God, no. I can't imagine what two thousand of those time intensive things would do to my team, people forgetting their PINs left and right, malfunctions, that all makes me shudder. I'll keep my key driven lockers and occasional lost key scenarios any day. Quote
