March 10, 201313 yr I have my Platinum passes bought And my room booked at hotel Breakers. This will be my first trip ever to Cedar Point. Does anyone have some insight on what kind of crowds I can expect on these days? If I'm wanting to ride all there coasters would a Fast Lane pass be needed? I know Kings Island on days like that "middle of week when school is in" is pretty much so empty. I'm hoping I can expect the same at C.P..
March 10, 201313 yr It certainly won't be empty; there will be lots of school trips since this is Math & Science Week there. http://www.cedarpoint.com/group-sales/educational-programs . Definitely take advantage of early entry and the last few hours of operation. Don't be at the front of the park at 10:00am, and each lunch before/after the school trips do. When I went one of these days on a field trip in high school, crowds were decently large, but it was possible to ride everything between 10am and the trip's end at ~5pm. In general, Cedar Point stays much busier in the middle of the week than Kings Island, as it's a resort destination.
March 11, 201313 yr I would not buy a Fast Lane, but that is just me. I have went in the middle of the week during school and it is not bad at all. Math and Science week does not add that many more people. If you use early entry and work from Maverick and Skyhawk to Millennium and around that loop you should have no trouble getting on everything, some being walk-ons and re-rides.
